Warranty

Spec-D warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 1 year. The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered.

The warranty is granted to the end-user and applies to products which are purchased, installed, and used for the purposes for which they are originally designed. This warranty covers defects arising under normal use and does not cover malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or incorrect maintenance.

During the warranty period, Spec-D will repair or replace, at no charge, a product that is defective in materials or workmanship. Spec-D reserves the right to either repair or replace a defective component at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product under the terms of this warranty.

Amazing!

Spec-D® - Chrome/Red Euro Tail Lights

I have a 99 VW New Beetle GLS 2.0L 5 Speed Manual Trans. These were confusing at first, just because this is the first time I replaced the taillights on a Volkswagen. I read the reviews and was very uneasy with ordering them, but I said why the heck not?! So I ordered them, they came super fast to me. I got them with amazing packaging (it was covered in crazy amounts in bubble wrap but in an eco size Box for a package), and it also came with a scratch resistant plastic film to reduce scratching during shipping!!! You don't find that with many Car Parts! The Rubber Grommets did not fit around them, BUT they sealed in perfectly with my Taillight Housing (the body where has a designated spot for them)! There was absolutely no wiggle room, and they fit so perfectly that the taillight was extremely hard to take out (best part about it!)! Right now, I'm extremely Satisfied with my order and will be purchasing Headlight Assemblies in the near future! Thank you CARiD and Spec-D for the amazing tail lights!

Very Disappointing!

Spec-D® - Chrome/Red Euro Tail Lights

I was extremely disappointed when I tried installing these. When I opened the packaging, I noticed that the lights did not come with a rubber seal or the bolt that screws it to the car. After much struggling, I was able to detach the bolt from the original lights and reattach it to the new ones. When I tried installing the lights, the bulbs went in at a different angle than the originals, making it very difficult to place the tail lights in the car housing without straining the wires connected to the bulbs. Because there was no rubber seal, the plastic of the tail light was directly touching the car exterior in a few places while also leaving many finger-wide gaps. I attempted to use the original factory seal on the Euro Tail Lights but there were no hooks or tabs built into the new plastic mold to hold the seal in place, making it impossible to install with the old seal. The product image shows a black outline on the lights, deceiving the buyer to thinking that a seal is included. I will not be keeping these on my car and I recommend buying OEM tail lights and skipping these cheaply made ones.

2005 VW Beetle Tail Lights

These tail lights look great when they come out of the box, however, they are supposed to be a direct fit on the car and they are not. There is a huge gap between the top of the lights and the body of the car so I'm going to have to make some sort of gasket to fill in the gap. The gasket around the original lights is too thin and does not fit these new lights anyway.

Would have been nice if they came with the bolt and seal. Oh, and don't forget to get a red or orange bulb for the turn signal.
