If you're heading out on a trip and your vehicle is packed to the roof, and you've even got gear mounted on the roof, you might think you've run out of cargo carrying options. But if you've got a 2" receiver hitch you can carry up to 500 lbs. of additional cargo, with the weight evenly distributed, on this Receiver Rack. Just remember never to exceed your receiver hitch tongue weight capacity.

The Receiver Rack's generous 20" x 60" dimensions make it perfect for carrying bulky items that don't fit easily inside the vehicle and it's also ideal for hauling cargo you don't want inside the cabin, like gas cans. The all steel construction rack is acid dipped to remove impurities, a special "E-Coat" is applied inside and out, and finally a dual stage textured black powder coat finish is applied.

The Receiver Rack comes with all required hardware and detailed assembly and installation instructions. A hitch pin and clip, not included, are required for installation. The rack is covered by a limited 5-year warranty against finish defects and a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Smittybilt®, located in Compton, California, is the leader in the off-road parts and accessories market because they were there at its inception. Founder Basil Smith, also known as "Smitty", was one of the original Southern California 4WD enthusiasts. He started a business called Rock-ett Products, making specialized equipment for trucks and Jeeps, in his garage/machine shop in 1956. Smitty's son Tom began working at Rock-ett at an early age and became head of the ever-expanding enterprise when it became Smittybilt in the 1970s. Under Tom's leadership, the company created innovative products like the original "Nerf Bar" side step, and tubular front and rear bumpers for Jeeps. Today, thanks to their continued involvement in off-roading at all levels of the staff, which enables them to keep abreast of the latest trends and needs in the off-road market, Smittybilt remains the industry leader with a selection of over 2000 different products for trucks and SUVs.

SmittyBilt
Hello! The SmittyBilt item I purchased is okay. I put it together easily. It has upheld the 500 lbs. requirements for load. I have been able to put heavy items on it and with some straps, I have been able to keep those heavier items from hitting the road. The mesh wire bottom on the SmittyBilt I purchased is sturdy and leaves a good amount of room for straps, but I am afraid that the 500 lbs. load limit is excessive. Sincerely, Seth.
