Best Upper Control Arms For OBS Chevys/2"-3" lifts
Skyjacker® - Rear Control Arms
I run these front upper control arms on one of my trucks and I can tell you that they're the best quality option for 2"-3" lifted OBS trucks, they solve the issue of the stock upper control arm hitting the k-member/frame when you lift your truck by cranking the torsion bars. They give you more suspension travel and are very well made. If you want the nicest 2"-3" lift for your OBS Chevy, you can get the rest of the components needed from Skyjacker to make a complete lift kit, including Skyjacker M95 shocks for under $1,000. Skyjacker M95 shocks are the best bang for your buck option for OBS Chevys IMHO. If you have a cheap Ebay 2" lift kit on your truck and can't hold alignment, this will solve that problem and make the suspension work as intended. If you have a stock truck and want a 2"-3" lift, I highly recommend staying away from doing the Ebay lift and go with the complete Skyjacker setup, because the Skyjacker setup comes with brackets to drop the k-member 1". Which greatly improves your CV axle angles, keeps them from binding and greatly improves their reliability as well as longevity. The 2"-3" Skyjacker lift will give you the best compromise between good front drive shaft angles and good CV axle angles. If you're not rock crawling or trying to take the checkered flag in Baja but want a dependable lifted truck with reliability, more offroad ability than stock, good on road handling characteristics and don't want to break the bank, pair a Skyjacker 2"-3" lift with a 3" body lift. If you go this route, you will want to add some 6" wide by 1/8" to 3/8" thick rubber to the wheel wells to bridge the gap between the inner fender liners and the frame. Putting some rock sliders steps on the sides will hide the frame and keep it from looking out of place. If you do this, nobody will even notice that there's a body lift on your truck at all.
