EXPLORER HID LIGHTING

Explorer High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights are designed for the off-road enthusiast who demands the best with state-of-the-art construction and industry-leading features. Pro Comp HID lights use a unique compound curve aluminum reflector that is tuned to project the maximum amount of light where you need it most. Explorer HID lights include IP68 rated wiring harnesses with plug-n-play connectors, relays, fuses, and illuminated switches.

Features

HOUSING Housing constructed of reinforced, impact-resistant ABS, for weight reduction, corrosion resistance and strength.

LENS. Clear and amber high quality Lexan protective lens shields are included with each light to keep the lens protected from stones and debris.

IP68. IP68 Connectors are easily attached to the included wiring harness for a moisture and dust free connection. Additionally, the wiring harness comes with a lighted switch and a fuse.

MOUNTS. Adjustable mounting system features interlocking splines for positive engagement and provides a range of over 90° of adjustment.

Beam

Spot

A spot beam is perfect for illuminating the horizon directly in front of you. Explorer Lighting ‘Spot’ lights, produce a tighter, more intense beam of light to see objects and potential hazards lying in your path. This style of light beam is ideal for driving on unpaved roads with plenty of long, straight sections and is commonly used in the go-fast racing scene.

Flood

Flood lights are designed to open up the angle of light emitted from the bulb, providing a wide light pattern extending out both horizontally and vertically. These are great when driving through dense bush or challenging terrain as they maximize your ability to see the obstacles around you, and highlight a clear path without any unseen surprises.

Combo

Although HID and Halogen lights can only be bought as spot or flood beams, when purchasing multiple lights for your vehicle, we recommend combining spot and flood together to achieve this ‘combo’ result.

Technology

Lumens

Lumens is the measure of total light (luminous flux) the off-road lamp produces without regard to the direction of the lamp or terrain. Generally, the higher the number, the brighter the light. Brighter lights allow you to see more on the trails during the night, when you need it the most.

IP68

The European IP (Ingress Protection) rating system is the accepted standard for measuring how well protected the product is from the elements. Pro Comp Explorer HIDs IP68 rating is the highest rating available for both dust and water. This certifies them as waterproof-submersible to an unprecedented depth of 5 meters for 60 minutes.

Color Temperature

Color temperature is a description of the warmth or coolness of a light source. By convention, yellow-red color are considered warm and blue-green is considered cool. Cool light is preferred for visual tasks because it produces higher contrast than warm light. The cooler the light, the better you can see while off-roading at night. Pro Comp’s Explorer HID lights have a color temperature of 6,000K giving them a cool white light for maximum visibility.

Adjustable

The HIDs feature an adjustable mounting system that utilizes interlocking splines for positive engagement that won’t come loose from vibration. This system provides a range of over 90? of adjustment. You can mount these lights on roofs, roof racks, bumpers, window mounts, and even sideways. Mouth them anyway you want, then get out there and use them with confidence.

Halogen Lights

CLASSIC HALLOGEN

If you’re looking for a solid work horse without the bells and whistles, our range of lights in the classic series are for you. All lights are available in rectangular shapes, suitable to mount to grill guards, pro-runner style front bumpers and a variety of other locations. Their multi-purpose design allows them to function as effective driving lights, fog lights or back-up lights.

HANDHELD SPOTLIGHT

These handheld spotlights offer 55 watts of lighting power in the palm of your hand. Ideal for emergencies, these lights include a 12-foot coiled power cord that plugs into any 12V cigarette lighter receptacle. Theyre available in a high impact black ABS housing, with a built-in handle and on/off switch.
