Front Steering Idler Arm by MOOG®. Quantity: 1 per Pack. Restoration of your vehicle's steering setup won't be as daunting with replacement idler arms from MOOG. Patterned after OE units, MOOG parts are made of the highest quality materials and involve sophisticated manufacturing techniques for a more dynamic performance and dependable robustness.
The idler arm attaches to the frame on the side of the vehicle opposite the steering gear, and supports the center link, keeping it level. A worn idler arm will typically exhibit up and down play and cause the toe setting to vary with concurrent shimmy and looseness in the steering. The engineers at MOOG consistently develop problem-solving solutions providing a wide array of replacement parts that guarantee a quality fit, long-lasting performance, and OE steering feel that technicians and owners prefer.
MOOG idler arms feature a double-tapered bearing design and internal take-up spring to absorb shock and vibration for smoother, safer movement and enhanced durability. These idler arms use powdered-metal gusher bearings with grease grooves to deliver improved performance over the stock units. Thanks to this approach, grease can flow through the bearing to the stud providing a smooth, durable surface that extends service life.
MOOG® reputation as “The Problem Solver” can be traced all the way back to 1919. That was the year the company first produced a front-end replacement part recognized by mechanics as outperforming the factory original. As years passed and MOOG continued to innovate, the company became known for its ability to consistently develop “problem solving solutions.” Today, hundreds of innovations later, MOOG is recognized and respected throughout the automotive industry as The Problem Solver. It continues to earn that reputation by providing not only problem-solving parts, but award-winning technical support and training materials also.
