XP Series Exhaust Systems by MBRP®. The XP series exhausts from MBRP is for the no-compromise enthusiast who insists on a rugged system that can take whatever the road throws at it and last. Constructed entirely of corrosion-resistant T409 stainless steel, this system will show some light surface discoloration after a while, but will never corrode through.

Features

  • Mellow, authoritative exhaust note
  • Boosts horsepower and torque
  • Can improve economy 1-2 mpg
  • Mounts from OEM hangers

The first thing you'll notice will be the rich, mellow sound delivered by the chambered muffler. The second thing you'll notice is the improved performance as lowered backpressure and improved scavenging let your engine deliver more power and torque. The third thing you'll notice is more money in your pocket after you fill up. With all the tubing mandrel-bent without reducing its cross-section, and every bend made to the minimum bend angle, MBRP exhaust systems can substantially reduce backpressure through the system. You don't need to expend horsepower forcing exhaust gases through a pinhole, and improved scavenging of those same gases means more mixture drawn into the cylinders for more power. It's a win-win deal. MBRP engineers all of its systems to fit perfectly the first time. You'll be able to install your MBRP exhaust system with nothing more than simple hand tools. MBRP's XP Series systems are constructed entirely of T409 stainless steel, and feature polished mufflers and polished tips. Application-specific mufflers, developed on the street and on MBRP's dyno, assure a mellow but authoritative tone.

First thing the exhaust is short, only goes to the back tire not to the bumper like shown, it's not chrome like the picture shows, then it also just sounds like i have a hole in my muffler. Very unhappy. CARiD rep not helpful at all now I need to send picture and wait 3 days for them to get back to me.

Just installed the system on my 2010 Tacoma. Very nice, subtle tones to the system. Installation was a breeze. Took less than 1 hour.

Love My New Exhaust
MBRP® - XP Series™ 409 SS Cat-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit
A few weeks back I ordered the MBRP XP Series 409 SS Cat-Back exhaust for my 2008 Tundra. The process to install it was very quick besides taking out the old OEM exhaust I had. After all was done, I cranked my truck ON and the sound made me fall in love with my truck again (LOL). I will recommend this for those who like a sound that will not bother your neighbors when turning on your truck at 5am.

Really cool, having a high-clearance exhaust. Terminates JUST (1.5") in front of the rear axle. GREAT sound. Deep, guttural even. Really nice tone, not too rough around the edges. Not too blatt-y. SUPER easy install. Harder to get old one off than this one is to get on. listen to the sound comparisons for this exhaust and they are spot-on. Very well represented by the manufacturer. The volume isn't too loud so your neighbors won't immediately want you evicted. Would buy again, but this SS Cat-Back should last the life of the vehicle.

Not Obnoxiously Loud
MBRP® - XP Series™ 409 SS Cat-Back Exhaust System with Split Side Exit
I have the dual outlet system, for about three years now and it has held up great. I didn't want anything obnoxiously loud, like I did when I was a teenager. It won't wake the neighbors unless you really accelerate hard. Definitely a cooler sound than the quiet stock exhaust, and I love the tips.

A lot of droning at 3000-4500 rpm.

Went for the moderate, as I wanted a little more aggressive sound than stock to go with the new .5 HL cam and lifters. This was very easy to install, and they sound awesome, however, louder than I thought 'moderate' would have been. One con I have with them is I cannot idle in the drive-thru, I need to shut the truck off in order to place my order. The second con, and major one for me, is It's a little more difficult to have a normal conversation in the cab without having to concentrate on what they are saying over the exhaust while accelerating, it's almost easier to just wait until you are at cruising speed. I think I will be swapping these out with a more mild exhaust. Not sure how much louder these would be with towing a loaded trailer yet, only had them installed for a few days so far. As bad as the con is for me, they sure sound nice when I put my foot in it. If you don't talk a lot in your vehicle, there you go. Regardless of loudness for my personal views, this is a solid product. I'm not around a lot of aftermarket exhaust, so I had no idea what to expect. Lessons were learned ;)

Lots of Drone
MBRP® - XP Series™ 409 SS Cat-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit
Install was pretty easy once I got the old exhaust removed. There is a lot of drone, it’s loud. Especially at two thousand rpm which the truck is at often. The worst is right about forty five mph, but if you get on it hard it quiets down, but I can’t take it.going to replace it and eat five hundred twenty five bucks. Expensive lesson.
