Like all MBRP's exhaust components, this Black Series exhaust system is made to a standard that insures a perfect fit the first time, every time. With minimum-bend-angle bends, made on a CNC mandrel bender that provides a constant diameter throughout the length of the tubing, this system will boost torque and horsepower and improve your fuel economy by 1-2 mpg. But you really wanted to know what it sounds like, right? MBRP has you covered with a rich, mellow exhaust note for the serious enthusiast. Improved exhaust flow is pivotal to performance. Don't spend money on fuel that's used to push exhaust gases through a restrictive exhaust system when you can let them run out on their own for free. Better yet, reduced exhaust backpressure means more oxygen in the cylinder on the intake stroke, and that means more power and torque. You should be able to hang one of these systems on your vehicle in only an hour or two, and with nothing more than simple hand tools. The muffler is a chambered muffler, not a short-lived glasspack that will get much louder if it ever gets wet inside.
Fifteen years ago, MBRP® started in the exhaust business by introducing the B&B Eliminator, a silencer that quickly became the best-selling snow machine muffler of all time. Exhaust system technology being as universal as it is, they soon branched off into cars, Jeeps, and diesel trucks, with amazing success. One of their secrets has been the practice of making as many universal-fit kits as possible. A couple of extra parts in the box means that a single kit might fit a number of different wheelbase pickup trucks, for instance. Reducing complexity in ordering is better for them, better for their distributors, and a great benefit for their customers, who are more likely to be able to find a kit that fits their vehicle on hand. In addition, they go to great lengths to make sure their systems fit properly every time. Careful attention to design and fabrication delivers a system that doesn't need customization with a hammer to fit properly before the car or truck comes off the lift.
