Mat Cleaning

Lloyd Mats uses premium continuous filament nylon yarn in the construction of the mat face, similar to higher quality home carpeting. The carpet face should be cleaned as any other high quality carpet, using cleaning solutions specifically formulated for spot removal or general carpet cleaning.

Here are a few steps to prolong the life and appearance of your Lloyd Mats.

• Dirt and debris, allowed to sink into and grind carpet fibers, can eventually damage the yarn construction, leading to premature wear.
• Spills and stains should be blotted as quickly as possible.
• Use high quality spot and general carpet cleaners to treat localized soiling and staining. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Mild detergents such as Woolite work well for non-greasy soil or stains. Use only the sudsy portion of the solution.
• Do not soak the carpet face and backing.
• Use cool water when rinsing carpet cleaners, or mixing mild detergents (The layers of backing underneath the carpet face include heavy latex infused woven mesh. Heavy soaking and warm water may reduce the effectiveness of the carefully constructed layers).
• When cleaning the entire mat surface, allow damp mats to dry on a flat surface before reinstalling in the vehicle.
