Filtered Reservoir
KRC Power Steering® - Filtered Reservoir

The first filtered power steering reservoir of its kind. Though small are often placed in the inlet and outlet ports of power steering reservoirs, KRC made the tank with a 4in, 115-micron filter screen. Filtering ensures clean is conveyed to the power steeringpump free of restriction at the inlet. Perfect for sand rails, rock crawlers, mud & desert racing vehi-cles. Ideal for short track oval dirt cars, off-road trucks & Monster trucks. Pavement racers can now protect competition power steer-ing pumps & the steering gearbox. The 115 Micron eliminates dust, dirt and all contaminants in any vehicle increasing perfor-mance & reliability.

Flow Control Valve Fittings
KRC Power Steering® - Flow Control Valve Fittings

KRC Power Steering has engi-neered a range of Changeable Flow Control Valve Fittings for KRC hydraulic steering pumps. 9 different KRC Flow Control Valves optimize steering feel to match driver preference in any condition or at any track. The Flow Control Valves can be compared to the function of jets in a carburetor. By adjusting flow rates from 4 to 12 liters per min-ute, approximately 1 to 3 gallons, the largest Flow Valve provides maximum steering assistance while the smallest provides less assist while maximizing steering feel. The standard KRC Flow Valve flows 8 liters per minute from the pump. Larger Flow Control Valves, B, C, D, or E, increases the flow rate in 1 liter increments up to 12 liters per minute (3.17gals). The higher letter gives more hy-draulic assistance, although less feel. In contrast, Flow Valves marked 4, 5, 6 & 7 provide less assistance; the lower the number, the greater the feel but the less assistance.

Reservoir Tanks
KRC Power Steering® - Reservoir Tanks

KRC tanks come with non-vented caps to reduce cavitation. -6 inlet & -10 outlet fittings are standard. Round tanks are available in both Economy & Deluxe models. Separate roll bar mounting brackets are included. Deluxe models have an internal tee to reduce aeration of the fluid returning to the tank. Flat tanks have internal baffling & a welded flat surface mounting bracket. Bolt-on tanks mount directly to the power steering pump to help save space & weight. KRC 91312045 bolt-on tank has the -6 inlet fitting 45° further around the can from KRC standard KRC 91312000, allowing more clearance for plumbing in cramped engine compartments.

Pulleys

Pro Series pulley kits come with a 4.0” aluminum water pump pulley that includes a 6-groove main drive & a 3-groove accessory drive, aluminum R-LOK crankshaft pulley, R-LOK crank adapter, & the appropriate hardware. Pro Series kits will clear cartridge style water pumps. All kits are designed to fit a 4.2” serpentine power steering pump pulley. Additional accessories and/or a different power steering pump pulley size will require different belt lengths.

KRC Power Steering® - Power Steering Pump Pulleys

KRC offers an extensive line of front engine drive pulleys. All KRC pulleys are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to exacting tolerances.
