Product Details

Sport Sway Bar Kit by Hotchkis®. Anti-sway bars that effectively reduce suspension lean and side-to-side body roll when vehicle weight shifts. Improves overall stability, driver control, and cornering while maintaining proper alignment and tire grip. Specifically sized and tuned for the layout of your make and model's suspension, sway bar ends may or may not be available with multiple mounting holes to adjust the level of stiffness. Depending on vehicle application, they can be up to 160% stiffer than stock OEM anti-sway bars. Heavy gauge steel is joined together by TIG welding which provides the cleanest, most even bonds for higher strength. Greasable polyurethane bushings offer smooth travel without unwanted squish or decay, and durable powder coat finish resists corrosion, scratches, and oily contaminants.

Balanced for neutral steering and precise turn-in response, Hotchkis Sport anti-sway bars reduce side-to-side body roll around turns, enhance grip, and reduce unwanted weight transfer to boost your vehicle’s cornering and stability whether you’re on the track or towing a trailer. Shorter swing arm length on the bars provides higher rigidity, and heavy-gauge tubing with hollow centers provides the same bending resistance as solid sway bars, but with the benefit of 30% less weight. Depending on vehicle application the sway bar ends may or may not be available with multiple mounting holes to adjust the level of stiffness. It’s typical to see an increase over any OEM sway bars that ranges anywhere from 25% up to 160% depending on mounting choice.

CNC computer-enhanced design ensures Hotchkis sway bars are shaped with stress points and handling attributes of your vehicle in mind, and advanced manufacturing creates perfectly balanced thickness consistency from one side of the bar to the other. The proper balance needed for neutral steering and precise turn-in response is created – letting you maintain composure around turns and straighten out without drama. And unlike lesser products from competitors, greasable bushings on the ends of the sway bars are made from polyurethane instead of rubber. Polyurethane provides excellent shock dampening without becoming squishy around hard turns, and bushings made from it can take a lifetime of hard knocks without crumbling or decaying. The anti-sway bars will not interfere with ride comfort and they are the perfect upgrade for the enthusiast who has just added plus-sized wheels and low profile tires.

Founded in Santa Fe Springs, California in the late 1960s during the height of the original muscle car boom, Hotchkis® got its start building products that blessed GM, Mopar, and Ford performance cars with new abilities to corner and handle with stability at racetrack speeds. As the company's reputation for building quality products grew, Hotchkis components soon found their way onto all kinds of vehicles that were not made to go fast in any way, shape, or form. It didn't take long before station wagons, convertibles, and pickup trucks were wheeling around tracks all over Southern California with the tenacity of sports cars. After decades of developing suspension-enhancing products that have led to victories in championship racing events, slalom track competitions, and street challenges, Hotchkis has refined and perfected their manufacturing techniques to become the internationally respected company they are today.

After installing this onto my Trailblazer, I can now take turns/corners around 5-15mph faster than before (depending on the degree of the turn). Definitely well worth the price.

I have to say that this sway bar is one of its kind, you can feel the difference on the car's suspension as soon as you go on the road. It's worth every cent!

2015 Yukon XL SLT - Hotchkis Sway Bars
We moved this spring to California from Minnesota. The roads in MN are straight and flat, of course. No mountains to drive around in and navigate through. After driving around for the past 3 months I was ready to do whatever it took to get rid of our family vehicle. Cruising at 75 to keep up with traffic felt chaotic and out of control, like something was wrong with our vehicle, which is huge compared to what most drive out here. The front end tipped back and forth long after rolling over elevation changes in the road, and twisting around corners while driving up and downhill was nauseating. For passengers it was worse. I spoke with a local GMC dealer and he recommended looking into a sway bar kit. I found this kit and decided a smaller investment in the truck would cost way less than trading it in for a smaller vehicle. The difference is incredible. The XL stays planted on the road, the bouncing around is gone, the tipping side to side is gone. Had I known the difference this kit made I would have purchased it and installed it off the showroom floor. While our Yukon XL will never be a sporty vehicle, I certainly feel much more confident and comfortable driving now than I did the past 3 months. I've already referred 2 friends to get the same kit. It's unreal the difference it makes. If I owned a truck, a Tahoe, or if I purchase another XL, installing this kit will be the 1st thing I do. Highly, highly recommend if you're having the same experience as me. Go read reviews on these trucks and handling is the #1 complaint about them, both the XL and the shorty. This directly addresses those issues and it truly is a different truck.

Great quality, easy installation, night and day difference on the handling.

Wow! What a difference this product has made on my Audi! Heard good things about aftermarket sway bars, but was skeptical about them making any real difference since my car already had sway bars on from stock. After my first test drive all misgivings disappeared. Cornering stiffness greatly increased! Car lost that shifty/unstable feeling I would get when cornering hard. I live in the middle of the Appalachian Mountain range, so these sway bars are going to get used hard, as I love a good speedy riparound on mountain roads! :-) Definitely worth the money! Would recommend to anyone looking to farther the cornering stability and control of their car.

Product looks great, installed with no issues. I purchased the upgraded brackets for almost 200, that should have been part of the 400 purchase.
