Hotchkis Coil Springs are designed to give the performance driving enthusiast a moderate drop in ride height without the bone-jarring ride that comes from poorly engineered components and improper tuning. These springs are designed with precision for a long lifespan of operation on coupe and sedan models equipped, as they were originally, with small block engines. They can support the greater load configuration of a big-block engine swap as long as weight-reducing aluminum heads and intake manifolds have been fitted. A multi-level tempering process begins with an annealing stage which heats the metal, then allows it to cool slowly in order to minimize internal stresses and increase strength. Metal is then shot blasted to remove surface imperfections and coated with a durable outer powder coat finish to resist scratches and chips that let corrosion get a foothold. Hotchkis builds all springs in the United States and backs them against failure due to manufacturing defects for 3 years.
