Most of today's vehicles use pulleys to assist in belt routing and tensioning within the accessory drive system. A/C compressors, alternators, power steering pumps, and water pumps are aided by the function of the pulleys. In spite of the fact that idler and tensioner pulleys are similar in many ways, they have a significant difference. The idler pulley is a component that controls the routing of the belt, while the tensioner pulley is a spring-loaded part that holds the belt tight. If you are looking for a quality idler/tensioner pulley, Hayden is the way to go. This product is made of steel and thermoplastic to provide long service life and superior dampening and feature high-grade bearings that are engineered to withstand high operating temperatures. Designed specifically for your vehicle, the idler/tensioner pulley will fit and function just like the part from the dealer, so your vehicle will operate as it should or even better. Why pay more at the dealer or risk getting the wrong part at the chain store, when you can get the right product at a reasonable price from Hayden.
