More aggressive than the TYPE 1, Function and Form aimed to make it the ultimate street inspired coilover. A lot of our customers dream of hitting the track but the reality is they want to enjoy their pride and joy on the streets as well. A dedicated track car is not a choice for many but that’s ok. Function and Form designed a suspension that can let you enjoy the streets or an occasional fling on the track. You pick. In achieving this, Function and Form wanted to make a stronger product to endure the imperfections of the real world. Steel materials have been used for the lower mounts to give the shocks OEM durability. Spring rates are slightly more aggressive than a TYPE 1, to handle occasional track duties and spirited street driving (although always suggest safe and smart driving on public roads). Yet this did not sacrifice ride quality. Monotube shocks are used allowing for more piston surface area, and heat dissipation. Our goal is to offer you a suspension that can handle the wear and tear of daily driving duties. With the TYPE 2’s 32 levels of dampening adjustment, you can dial in ride and handling characteristics for the street or the track, giving you ultimate versatility.
32-level adjustable damping: Function and Form Type 2 are the ultimate street inspired full-bodied coilovers with 32-levels of damping to provide the precise control when modifying ride quality and handling.
Steel Collars and Spring Perches for High Durability and Hardness: All Function and Form coilovers are built with corrosion resistant zinc plated steel collars, spring perches, and shock body. Steel is the prefered material for ensured durability and is harder than aluminum, performing better under weight, force, and heat.
Adjustable Lower Mount: All Function and Form coilovers feature a threaded shock body and adjustable lower mounts. Which allow for height adjustments from the lower mount without sacrificing the shock travel.
F2 Red Powder Coating: Signature red lower mounts are protected with an extremely strong and corrosion resistant powder coating technique. Function and Form lower mounts provide a durable barrier against all weather elements.
Twin-Tube Technology for Increased Piston Stroke: Vehicle applications equipped with twin-tube damping design have an inner working cylinder - providing excellent handling and control characteristics for most driving conditions.
Shock Dust Boot: Polyurethane dust boots are specifically fitted to help keep out harmful road contaminants. Dust boots and bump stops are standard for all Function and Form coilovers.
