Firestone Industrial Products Company began in 1936, when Firestone Tire & Rubber Company purchased a plant in Noblesville, Indiana. Two years later, Firestone designed and patented the first Pneumatic Suspension Device, better known as the Firestone Airide™ Air Spring.
