Wilhelm Schafer founded Eastern Manufacturing in 1976 as a supplier of rebuilt catalytic converters to his own Schafer Muffler Centers and S.M.S. Products. The company quickly grew to become a supplier of new, Universal, and Direct-fit converters.
Now headquartered in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, they’ve continually expanded their capabilities in the US and internationally through establishment of manufacturing facilities in Prodesa, Mexico and Ontario, Canada.
Today, Eastern provide converters to aftermarket and OE customers in over 72 countries. Eastern is well positioned for future growth into new markets for catalytic converters including marine, industrial, off-highway, and fractional horsepower applications.
