All body kits and products sold by Duraflex are aftermarket products and are intended for off-road or show use only. The brand is not liable for any damages or injury as a result of the use of its products. Due to the material and processes used in production, products will not be a “direct bolt-on.” Duraflex products may need prepping, sanding, shaving, filling gaps, and/or other body work. Modifications may include removal of the reinforcement bars, bumpers, turn signals, and other safety equipment on the vehicle. Duraflex highly recommends that a professional “custom” shop with fiberglass body kit experience perform the installation. Auto shops experienced in OEM installations may not be experienced in aftermarket fiberglass installations. All products sold by Duraflex are for off-road and show purposes only. Due to strict regulations by the Department of Transportation, some of these products are not approved for street/highway use. The brand does not recommend, and in fact discourages, these parts to be used on public streets and highways.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Duraflex warrants its branded products to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials when used for their intended purposes. This warranty is non-transferable. Any part of a Duraflex product that is covered by this warranty and that is found in reasonable judgment to be defective in materials or workmanship will be replaced in full at the request of the customer. Hood and Trunk Fitment Guarantee

Look Amazing on My 04 Gt

Looks great keep in mind you will need hood pins for 99-04 mustangs it will not close shut with the space it gives. What i did was remove the whole hood latch it self and it closes perfectly fine ive even went well over speeds of 120 plus ...(in Mexico) and the hood stays stationary without budging its veryyy light weight and yes the vents are open to the engine so if your car is not in garaged rain will get in. With that being said its not a outrageous amount that will hurt anything my belt didnt squeak but there are hood insulator or heat insulator shields you can by for 20 bucks like i did and blocks all rain or snow for getting in. Also with the vents it did help sooo much with extracting the heat on normal driving so for thoes of you with boosted applications your gonna love it. So all in all it very much worth the buy i will be making a video on youtube as of 3/5/21 so search up 99 to 04 mustang gt500 style hood review letting you guys know everything there is about it thx

Poor Quality.

Awful. The hood does not line up or fit at all. Doesn’t even have holes for the hood latch or hood prop.

The hood was installed by our body shop who indicated it took a huge amount of work to get to fit the car, and also was not easy to install the Ford performance hood pins on. Ultimately we had to order longer pins from another company.

Duraflex Cowl Style Hood for 99 Mustang

This hood exceeded my expectations in almost every way. It is attractive, has the clearance I was looking for, and makes my 1999 Mustang look like a beast! The only complaints I have are the holes drilled for the hood springs were improperly positioned so I had to make new ones myself, and the hood latch hole was oversized and a little sloppy but easy fixes and all and all I am happy with this product. It was a good value and fits better than expected.

Hood for Mustang

I bought this hood for my son's 2000 GT thinking it would be a cheaper alternative to cutting his old hood for a Shaker. We liked the style from what we could tell on the web. When it arrived I was surprised how large the scoop was. I was thinking too big, but my son was grinning ear to ear. We had a local custom shop prep and paint the hood along with fixing up some of rest of the paint on the car. It took several hours of prep work and still there were some anomalies on the shape, but in the end it looks real mean on the car. The shop was unable to get the original hood latch to work with the new hood and ended up removing it. I was planning on installing hood pins as suggested by the manufacturer, but as it turns out they are a necessity. I can't figure out how to attach a picture to this review. My son is pleased, but it did cost a bit more than I had expected to get it prepped and painted. Overall I like the product, the shipping costs were expensive and I was not informed of the shipping cost until after the order was confirmed. I'm not a fan of the chicken wire they used as the scoop screen. Had to drill new holes in the hood arms to attach the new hood.

Very Satisfied Customer

The product looks great! I had to do a little modification for the hood pins due to no good pin kits being offered for the older model mustangs. Other than that I love it!
