DSS Is Likely Better Than O.E.
I looked at a lot of online and brick stores and reviews then discounted the best/worst to figure out the honest truth. I even went to the Diversified Shaft Solutions web page to check them out. They claim their cv axles are 25% stronger and have 60 mm(2.36") of allowed slip for their axles. And that they are the only manufacturer to offer a 3 yr/36000 mi warranty. That stuff is attractive to me, but the big deal was Made in the USA which sold me. CARiD offered over a dozen different choices and I appreciated that. Plus, their prices and shipping costs are fair. I have previously ordered parts and will continue to order from CARiD. They have done me right, so far so good.

Shafts appear to be new and not remand. The appearance is well machined and the finish tooling cuts appear better than the O.E.Ms. I am a bit slower and methodical because of age and will need a couple of good weather days to do all the front end work on this 09 Tahoe with 190 K. I have previously and already ordered other suspension parts from CARiD. So far so good experience.

Product same as original but low price, my preference is purchase an after market part than a genuine part for a 16 years old vehicle.

This replacement axle looks very nice. Machining and finish and all appears to be quality parts to make this axle. Assembly is very nice too. The splash shield on the spline end that plugs into the transmission was bent and marred as if it were dropped. Possibly damaged in shipping? I was able to press off my original axle and press it onto this one. Installation was very easy, just time consuming being careful to do it right. Van now drives smooth and quiet!

I tried to find out who the manufacturer of the axle was exactly since it said DSS and CARiD sells the Drive Shaft Shop axles, but there was no mention of it anywhere! If you looked up DSS axles on Google it would bring you to the Drive Shaft Shops site and could not find anything on this site about it. I figured it wasn't since it was about 1/8 of the price but feel it's still kind of dirty how they make it seem like it is. Once I finally got it, it said Diversified Shaft Solutions on the box (I believe that was the name). Anyways it was very easy to install and looked to be of high quality although slightly different looking which made me slightly question if it was the correct one. Lengths looked close enough so I put it in and including taking the old one out, and everything else, it took about an hour with me taking my time. I will be very impressed if it lasts more than 3 or 4 years but even if it doesn't its well worth the money and I plan on doing the passenger side soon with the same brand.

I purchased this for my 07 Volvo S80 3.2L. It's a FWD car, and I'm pretty sure this part is for the 4WD 4.4L version. I think the database is backwards for this part. I preferred a replacement, but all I got is a refund minus the shipping both ways. Also I talked to 3 different CS agents over the course of a few days. I would've preferred one to help me the whole time, but I can't complain though. Price was good, shipping was great.
