Product Details

Control Arm and Ball Joint by Dorman®. Rigorously tested for sustained, secure performance by a team of product and quality engineers, Dorman's Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly is designed for passenger safety. Dorman industry-leading evaluation process ensures a smooth ride, directional stability, and agile handling.

Features

  • Ball joints included for a complete installation, saving time and labor
  • Direct replacement for a trouble-free installation
  • Manufactured for safety and reliability

Control arms are the part of the suspension system, with the help of springs and shock absorbers, ensure that bumps and other road obstacles are absorbed rather than being passed on to the frame of the vehicle and its passengers. The control arm is designed to move up and down when the car encounters potholes, speed bumps, etc., while still maintaining a straight, perpendicular relation to the road. Hard usage and even a minor encounter with a curb or deep pothole can bend, crack, or otherwise damage a control arm, causing poor handling and inaccurate wheel alignment that can result in uneven tire wear.

If you need a solid control arm, Dorman offers you the product that is a direct replacement for the factory part but costs less. The Dorman control arm will look, function, and install exactly the same as the original. Rigorously tested for reliable and long-lasting performance by a team of experienced engineers, the product provides a smooth ride, directional stability, and agile handling. The control arm features a steel, aluminum, or iron construction for exceptional durability and is powder-coated or painted for maximum rust and corrosion resistance. The unit comes with ball joints and bushings where applicable.

Dorman Products® is well-known as a leader in providing quality auto parts to the aftermarket. This product appears to be of good quality and contruction and value. However Product description says steel control arm, the control arm is aluminum with a steel ball joint taper and steel rear bushing tang bolted to the aluminum. Minor casting surface defects are present and minor tool marks either from manufacturing or from shipping and handling that do not appear structural There are no inclusions in the milled areas

I have bought DR & Pass. Front lower control arms good strong product for my 2012 Nissan Maxima SV. I do tend to buy a lot of my parts from this company.

The control arms were easy enough to install for me anyway. Product works well in replacement of the old bent ones I had on my vehicle.

I have a 95 Saab and my mechanic told me to go on line and try to find the parts instead of him ordering them. I saved a ton of money buying the parts I needed from this web site. I had no doubt I was getting exactly the parts I needed. Will order from here again. Some other sites left me wondering if the part would fit my older car but not this one.

Just recently installed in my 71 Mach 1 Mustang. I am still putting the car together, complete restoration due to a 31 month very bad experience at a vehicle restoration facility. Parts I have purchased all appear to be of very good quality without having to pay an exorbitant amount of money. Excellent price for the quality. Installation was very easy as far as the product itself. Excellent service provided by representatives of CARiD.
