Dayco Belts, Hoses, Tensioners & Pulleys

Timing Component Kit with Water Pump by Dayco®. Constructed for the replacement of worn out timing belts, belt idlers, tensioners, water pumps and hydraulic actuators, this kit is your best choice when replacing all the major components in a timing belt job. Having all the required parts in one box, you don't have to fight the traffic and stand in lines trying to find an application-specific part.

Features:

  • Designed for the replacement of worn or damaged timing belts, tensioners, belt idlers, hydraulic actuators and water pumps
  • Meets or exceeds OE quality, fit, form and function requirements
  • Provides consistent slip-proof power transfer for peak engine performance
  • Ensures proper tensioning, guiding and precise valve timing
  • Exact replacement for easy installation
  • Includes timing belt, balance shaft belt, tensioner(s), pulley(s), hydraulic actuator(s), water pump with gasket, springs and hardware, when applicable, and trilingual installation instructions
  • Ensures peak, long-lasting performance

A timing belt is designed to synchronize the movement of the engine’s valves and pistons. On many engines, it also drives the oil pump, and water pump. Installed behind the protective cover, this belt is invisible, and that explains how the timing belt has become known as the forgotten belt. When the timing belt breaks the synchronization of the engine parts is lost. When this happens, on most engines the valves interfere with the pistons. As a result, the valves can be broken with possibly even more severe and expensive damage to pistons, cylinders, etc. To avoid this, you should check and follow the manufacturer's recommended intervals for timing belt replacement.

It's also recommended that timing belt tensioners, belt idlers, hydraulic actuators, and water pumps be replaced along with the belt. Designed to ensure constant tensioning, guiding, and proper valve timing, these components have been in use as long as the belt under the same, often extreme, conditions. They are not that expensive. In fact their cost is negligible compared to the labor cost of removing everything necessary to gain access to the timing belt. If the hardware is not replaced with the belt, the life of the newly replaced timing belt can be reduced by as much as 50%.

This kit is designed and manufactured for the replacement of all the main components in a timing belt job such as the timing belt, tensioners, belt idlers, hydraulic actuators and water pump. In addition, the water pump included comes with gasket as well as springs and hardware, where applicable. Designed to replace worn or damaged OE parts, all the components included meet or exceed OE quality, form, fit, and function requirements while providing peak long-lasting service life. The kit also includes trilingual installation instructions.

Solid American Quality. End Of Questions.
This was a perfect fit for my '03 Mazda P5. It is a little early to speculate at this point but this is a made-in-USA product, and it came with all of the required components to replace my timing belt and water pump. It is quality built to last. I did my research in advance and made sure that this is exactly what I was getting. I trust my instincts that will not be disappointed.
