Received my Curt Class III 8000/800 weight capacity trailer hitch in a timely manner. Fit perfectly on my 2024 GMC Canyon. Only issue was that the existing factory Class I hitch had an extension plate on each side between the hitch & the bumper step brackets. Needed to add spacers to make everything match back up. Very pleased with the purchase.

I Almost bought the 1 1/4" receiver but decided that it would be too weak for hauling multiple bikes or pulling anything. I read a lot of articles about how much tongue weight a trailer hitch will have to withstand when going over bumps and potholes before deciding on the 2". My suggestion to you is to go with the 2" receiver.

Only used for luggage so far but it’s pretty solid so far might never pull anything but it’s still sturdy and was an easy install.

I bought this for our new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid for the primary purpose of using it with a heavy duty bike rack. First, I was super happy that CARiD had in stock and I received it within a few days as promised. Installation was supposed to be easy but one of the mounting holes didn't properly line-up. I didn't have the tools needed to modify (widen) the miss-aligned mounting hole, long story short, what should have taken 20 minutes took me 3 hours to mount it. It works great, I would definitely recommend this item to a friend with the caution that the mounting process could be tricky. I shopped a bit online and I believe this hitch to be the best choice for this vehicle.

The Pinnacle of Aftermarket Trailer Hitches
CURT® - Class 1 Trailer Hitch with 1-1/4" Receiver Opening
Tldr: Amazing product, great instructions, poor packaging My expectations were met wonderfully. The info provided both online before buying and in the instructions in the box allowed me (a very inexperienced DIYer) to get it all installed in less than 2 hours. The fit is very good, I attribute the slight tugging I had to do to make the third bolt line up to my 15 year old car rather than the hitch. It's a little heavy to maneuver alone, especially since you can't see all the bolts it needs to line up with at once. It also helps tremendously to get the car as high off the ground at possible. Taller jack stands will make the process much easier than shorter ones. The only disappointment I faced was with packaging. It's an oddly shaped, heavy, piece of solid metal. I was hoping for some foam or at least a healthy embrace of bubble wrap around the hitch inside the box. Instead, there were some cardstock sleeves on the 3 straight sections. That's it. The hitch slid around the shipping box freely, making two holes. No damage to the part, but this is a little disappointing.
