These bearings also have enlarged chamfers for greater crankshaft fillet clearance and are made without flash plating for better seating. Bearings with .001" extra clearance are available for standard size shafts and carry the suffix HX" (X = extra clearance). Rod bearings are available with or without dowel holes (HD = with, H = without), main bearings are available with standard 180 degrees upper half grooving and with full 360 degrees grooving (H = 180 degrees, HG 360 degrees). Use H-Series bearings with crankshafts that have oversize fillets and where engines run in the medium to high RPM range. H-Series bearings should be used if contact patterns obtained with P-Series parts are too narrow. Contact patterns should ideally cover 2/3 to 3/4 of the bearing surface. If you aren't sure which type of performance bearing to start with, the H-Series bearing will be your best choice.

Warranty

All new water pumps, oil pumps and turbochargers are warranted to be free from defects in original materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, 100,000 miles or 3600 hours whichever occurs first. All other sold and their affiliates are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for two (2) years from the date of purchase, 200,000 miles, or 7,200 hours, whichever occurs first. Clevite “Premium Plus” parts are warranted for three (3) years from the date of purchase, 300,000 miles, or 10,800 hours, whichever occurs first.

For “Premium Plus” parts only, following expiration of the initial time period defined above, Clevite will provide replacement of only the Clevite brand parts involved in the event of a warranty failure until a total of three (3) years from the date of purchase, 300,000 miles, or 10,800 hours, whichever occurs first. The company will not be responsible for any additional repair costs, parts or labor, after expiration of the initial time period.

Clevite is not responsible for failures resulting from owner, operator or third party abuse or neglect including, but not limited to engine operation without adequate lubricant or coolant, over or under-fueling, over-speeding, lack of proper maintenance to cooling, lubrication or air intake systems, improper storage, starting, warm-up, run-in or shutdown procedures or the continued operation of an engine after the first sign of a malfunction.

Clevite is not responsible for failures resulting from improper installation or repair procedures, alteration or the misapplication of parts, or use in engines modified for competition or levels of performance beyond the engine manufacturer original specifications.
