Bully Dog® was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho. The founders of Bully Dog – Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen - were heavily influenced by their father Harold's interest in improving vehicle performance. Several years prior to the company's inception, Harold had experimented with increasing performance on his diesel farm tractor by injecting propane into the engine's combustion chamber. In 1998, Bully Dog's owners took this concept and developed and patented a safe and effective propane injection system to enhance diesel engine performance. These systems were first sold out of their farm shop, but as demand increased, they moved the company to another location and officially organized Bully Dog. Bully Dog's mission was now to be recognized as the leader in the diesel performance industry. With the introduction of electronic components and software to improve performance, they began to research new types of products like intake and exhaust systems to complement their electronic components. In 2005, the company expanded its range of products to include performance products for gasoline-powered vehicles. Bully Dog is now able to offer a complete performance package.

Warranty

Bully Dog Technologies, LLC ( "Bully Dog") warrants that the Product (meaning solely the physical Product or parts contained within the Product kit and excluding any installed or installable software, which is governed by a separate Software License) will be free from defects in material and manufacture for one (1) year from date of purchase by the first purchaser of the Product who puts it into service (the "Purchaser"), exclusive of Bully Dog distributors, jobbers, and dealers . This Warranty extends only to the Purchaser and not to any subsequent purchasers or users of the Product. This Warranty may not be transferred in whole or part.

Exclusions. This Warranty does not apply to:

Installation of the Product or failure or inadequate performance of the Product due to improper installation (the Purchaser must determine the appropriateness of the Product for Purchaser's application)
Attachments, accessory items, and parts not manufactured by Bully Dog
Product that has been installed with other aftermarket parts or altered or modified in any way
Normal wear and tear; damage caused by accident, abuse, neglect, misuse, negligence, vandalism, acts of God, improper storage or handling, or disasters such as flood, fire, or war; failure to install, operate, maintain, or repair the Product in accordance with the instructions supplied by Bully Dog; or failure to install, operate, maintain, or repair the vehicle into which the Product is installed in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions or common maintenance practices

Conditions of Warranty Coverage. This Warranty shall not apply if the Product:

Is used in an application different from the one for which it was designed according to Bully Dog's published technical and promotional materials
Is installed by a dealer that is not licensed or authorized by Bully Dog

Disclaimer and Exclusion of Other Warranties. The preceding warranties are the exclusive warranties given by Bully Dog for the Product and supersede any prior, contrary or additional representations, whether oral or written. BULLY DOG AND ITS DISTRIBUTORS, JOBBERS, AND DEALERS DISCLAIM AND EXCLUDE-AND PURCHASER HEREBY WAIVES, RELEASES, AND RENOUNCES-ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OTHERWISE ARISING FROM COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, COURSE OF DEALING, OR USAGE OF TRADE.

Bully Dog will investigate and, in the event of a breach of warranty, will provide, at its sole option and within a reasonable period of time:

Repair of any nonconforming Product or components
Replacement of any nonconforming Product or components with conforming product or components
If a replacement product of the same model is not reasonably available, replacement of any nonconforming Product with substantially similar product

Repaired or replacement products will conform to the warranty for the unexpired duration of the warranty period for the original, nonconforming Product. Bully Dog may use used or repaired material for all warranty claims. This remedy does not cover any labor charged or travel time incurred for diagnosis, removal, or reinstallation of the Product; the cost of transportation of the Product or any replacement product to or from Purchaser; or any other contingent expenses. THE REMEDY SELECTED BY BULLY DOG IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL BE THE EXCLUSIVE AND SOLE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY.

Exclusion of Consequential, Incidental, and Other Damages. BULLY DOG AND ITS DISTRIBUTORS, JOBBERS, AND DEALERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY, WHETHER RESULTING FROM NONDELIVERY OR FROM THE USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT OR FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORT OF BULLY DOG OR ITS DISTRIBUTORS, JOBBERS, OR DEALERS. THIS EXCLUSION COVERS, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, REVENUE OR PROFIT, COST OF CAPITAL, COST OF SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT, ADDITIONAL COSTS INCURRED BY PURCHASER, AND CLAIMS BY PURCHASER'S CUSTOMERS OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES.

Indemnification. Purchaser agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Bully Dog and its distributors, jobbers, and dealers harmless from any claim arising out of or related to the Product or its use, installation, or service.

Applicable Law. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, excluding the application of its conflicts of law rules. The U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods will not apply to this Agreement. In any action or proceeding arising in whole or part from this Agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover costs and attorneys' fees. Venue for any such action or proceeding shall be in a state court of competent jurisdiction located in Power County, Idaho, or in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.

Severability. If any part of this Agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, then the remainder shall have full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be partially enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law to effectuate the purpose of the Agreement.

Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any and all prior agreements between Bully Dog (or any of its distributors, jobbers, or dealers) and Purchaser concerning the Product, including any oral representations. Any prior or extrinsic representations or agreements are intended to be discharged and nullified. No amendment, modification, or waiver of this Agreement will be valid unless set forth in a written instrument signed by Bully Dog and Purchaser.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

Disappointing

Bully Dog® - GT Platinum™ Programmer

I have a 2010 F150 and most of the features can't be used on the tuner due to the ECM on the truck. Very disappointed in the purchase. Wish I would have known and went with a different product.

Messed Up Vehicle

Bully Dog® 40470 - BDX™ Handheld Programmer

I purchased this for a 2017 Yukon as recommended by BD. First the Yukon was not in the preprogrammed options, I called BD and they said to use the Suburban program. After I loaded the program the vehicle did not act right. I got several service soon, prompts that would not go away. It change the tone of the reverse camera and I lost the warning from vehicles approaching from the side. Second, I reset it back to factory and all the service soon prompts stayed and I lost all my pulling power. I pull a boat every weekend, down the highway able to do 75 up hills. on those same hill I can not go any faster then 60. I finally had to take it into the GMC to get it fixed. Third, I called around to the listed custom tuners on the BD site, and all of them are not messing with tuning anymore due to the EPA. So now I have a 300 dollar paperweight.

Overall, Solid Product

Bully Dog® 40470 - BDX™ Handheld Programmer

Had some problems installing it. The instructions were not included. When I finally downloaded them, they weren’t always helpful. The device itself has an easy to use and read interface. A lot of options, and that’s great. Performance improvements are evident. More horsepower and torque and a slight improvement in mileage.

Make Sure the Tuner Is Compatible!

Product seems like it would work nicely, however, is apparently not compatible with my vehicle (2015 Escalade 6.2L V8) since they are having to have the IT department program something to fit the specifics of my truck. I wish I would have known this before hand as my schedule doesn't allow me too much free time to get all of this downloaded! I have had the tuner now for almost a month and have yet to be able to use any of the features.

Decent Product.

Gas mileage went up 1mpg. Shifts way smoother on premium tune. Was deceived on the options for my 6.2l cannot disable AFM or tune transmission.

Just Buy It.

Bully Dog® 40417 - GT Platinum™ Programmer

Really impressed with this programmer, it has a ton of features. It gives your truck some ump for sure and makes it run much smoother. It gave me around 3 more mph *highway*. Installation was really easy, anyone could do it. And Bully Dogs customer service was amazing!

Michel Marquis Not Satisfied

Bully Dog® 40417 - GT Platinum™ Programmer

If I can ever get it to work with my car I would be able to fill out better. Between work and my other business can’t get the tuner to download to my car. I have had tech support go onto my computer and change things three times now. For the money I was hopping for a better product and a hell of lot easier to set up. I would and will not recommend this tuner to anyone. Should have spent more and got a different one.

Great Start

For a first time diesel owner like me it does fine. Disappointed it will not delete my engine codes for the dpf delete. Bully dog is scared of the do epa I guess.
