Replacing your factory exhaust system with an aftermarket performance system is a significant investment in money and time. Of course, you can always try saving money and going with a cheaper system, but you may only get an irritating exhaust tone without any real gains in power. The only silver lining with such a system is that it probably won't last, so at least you won't have to put up with it for long. Instead of going that route, just install a premium Borla Cat-Back exhaust system. You'll get the power and sound you want, with quality materials and construction that will make it the last exhaust system you'll ever need to buy for your car.

Borla custom designs each exhaust system for the specific application, to make the most horsepower and torque with the best sound quality. The patented straight through muffler design reduces restriction and increases exhaust gas velocity, making sure each cylinder is completely evacuated to make room for the incoming charge. This design absorbs the sound waves without disturbing the power waves, in contrast to the chambered mufflers used by most aftermarket companies. Chambered mufflers use partitions or baffles to subdue sound waves, which also creates backpressure and reduces power. The Touring series muffler has more interior capacity for a higher volume of sound absorbing composite filament.

The shape and diameter of the exhaust tubing is optimized for volume and exhaust gas velocity. Borla mandrel bends the stainless steel tubing for smooth bends and to make sure the pipe maintains its size and shape throughout the entire length. Tubes that aren't mandrel bent can lose a percentage of their diameter in sharp bends. This system features an "X" pipe, where the pipes behind the catalytic converter include a crossover junction. This junction reduces excessive backpressure created by close firing cylinders on one bank, allowing it to escape to the other side of the system, thereby improving low and mid-range torque.

But improved performance is only part of what you want in an aftermarket exhaust system, because all the horsepower in the world won't matter if it doesn't sound right. There's no need to worry with a Borla System. They have many years of automotive acoustical experience and the company is staffed with automotive enthusiasts just like you that listen and drive cars to make sure your system has the right sound to go with the power. The Touring system has a slightly louder than stock sound at cruise, but with a deeper note; like adding bass to your sound system without increasing the volume. And there's no annoying drone or resonance through the cabin.

Borla - Touring Series Exhaust Systems

Finally, the best power and sound is meaningless if the exhaust system rots away in a few years. Each Borla exhaust is made according to the highest quality standards using the finest materials and construction techniques to make sure this won't happen. They use austenitic stainless steel for their systems, which contains high levels of nickel and chromium, to resist corrosion. This material is harder than the lower grade stainless steel used by the OEM manufacturers, yet is very ductile. Nevertheless, the increased hardness requires special equipment to form and bend. The muffler contains a stainless steel perforated tube wrapped with several layers of stainless steel sound absorbing material and a layer of ceramic sound absorbing, high temperature material, all contained in a fully welded stainless steel shell.

The Borla Touring Series Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System comes complete with everything required for installation, including detailed instructions. Borla is so confident in the quality of this system that it's guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for one million miles.

Borla® is the leading manufacturer of stainless steel performance exhaust products. The company began three decades ago making exhaust systems for concours classic Rolls Royce and Ferrari models, and gradually evolved to become the premier manufacturer of performance exhaust products for street, off-road and racing. Borla pioneered many improvements in the design of performance exhaust systems, holds several patents for innovative exhaust system technology, and has won numerous "Best New Product" awards. Today the company operates a state of the art research and development center in Oxnard, California, and makes all of its products at a world-class manufacturing facility in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Can't go wrong with Borla, the fit and finish was great, the install was straight forward and easy (did it on the ground, followed the instructions step by step). Sounds great! I had done the muffler delete and the drone was driving me nuts (especially when towing, but even at highway speed it was there). There is 0 drone with this system, yet the cold start sounds just about as mean as the muffler delete and the outside tone has a little less bass. The muffler while big, is still a straight thru design, so not worries about any flow restrictions.

After receiving my Stainless Steel Exhaust system from CARiD. I had a muffler shop install it. it was done in 1 hour. Looks great, sounds good. not too loud and not too soft. I do recommend this product. Plus i was told it can last 15years. I'm Happy.

Had this exhaust installed on my 2008 Ford F-150 Super Crew Lariat and it looks and sounds great. It is not too loud and gives my truck a great boost to the exhaust. Added with the Bell-Tech 2/3 drop and the Power Stop Sport Drilled and Slotted Brake Kit with Calipers, my truck looks great. Thank you CARiD for all the parts being available and the quick delivery...would recommend.

Sounds great and looks nice. Installation was straightforward, also quality materials. I wish that Borla made an exhaust system for Chevy Avalanche that had a configuration with duals/ exhaust tips the exited each side of truck not just on passenger side.

The sound is prerty good. Thats about it. The fitments and alignments are not so great. For a $1000.00 system, I didn't expect to have to "rig" it to align properly. And this happened 2x on the same model/same year vehicle. Both vehicles were 2019 Rams. So I can safely say it's not the vehicle. If theres a next time for an exhaust I'll probably go with a different manufacturer.

This touring system is just what I was l looking for. A very mild throaty sound that only sounds good for me and not the whole neighborhood. the installation was a breeze, very well engineered. Awesome system.

New Sound From My 2010 Mercury
Can't see the product since it's under the car and no tail pipe extensions coming out the rear. But I can hear it and experience the performance upon acceleration. Don't know much about the installation experience cause my mechanic installed it. His auto shop had to order additional parts from Ford, hangers, rubber isolators and gaskets. I've always wanted dual exhaust on my Ford 4.6 V-8 since this is the last Mercury Grand Marquis Ford made. I was put wise to Borla because of a YouTube video. My Grandfather's 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis Borla dual exhaust install was the title of the video.

Borla 11824 for CTS Coupe
The product came perfectly packaged, protected by heavy foam pieces that protected the exhaust system during shipment. All pieces came intact and you can tell upon inspection that this is a quality product. The heavy welds and the overall appearance of the hangars and fit/finish is top notch. I had this installed at the local muffler shop that I have dealt with for a long time and they even commented on the quality of this exhaust system. They had it installed in less than an hour. The sound is great, with a lower tone at startup and idle, but it comes to life when you accelerate! No drone inside and just adds that little bit of sound that the factory exhaust was missing. I now enjoy driving my car more. I did choose to have the pieces welded together, but I'm sure the factory clamps would have been sufficient, based on the quality of the clamps. Borla does not skimp on anything, and this system was made specifically for the year and model of my car. Looks like it came from the factory with this, but actually looks a lot better! Thank you CARiD!
