Gas Pressure Technology. Over time, the mono-tube gas pressure technology developed by BILSTEIN has established itself as a standard in automotive construction. This technology involves keeping the oil in the absorber under pressure, which prevents it from foaming when temperatures and loads are increasing. As a result, full damping power is retained even when the system is placed under extreme stress, a feature that can be observed in the self-lowering piston.

Mono-tube Upside-Down Technology. The original and best: The original mono-tube gas pressure shock absorbers bore the BILSTEIN name, and still responsible for producing the best there is. BILSTEIN’s mono-tube technology is the number-one choice in motorsports and series-production sports cars: no other type gives engineers the same freedom to choose the perfect installation location or position (e.g. Upside-Down technology).

Road-Tested by BILSTEIN. To achieve that celebrated BILSTEIN driving experience, BILSTEIN engineers rely on not only technology that is truly at the cutting edge, but also something that has withstood the test of time: how it feels to the driver. As a result, all of high-performance absorbers, as well as sport suspensions and threaded ride height adjustable kits, undergo a rigorous testing programme. On the Nürburgring and in own test centre at the Papenburg test track, drivers test how balanced the driving characteristics of various vehicles are in a variety of different driving situations. Only when they have passed this programme of tests with distinction are they allowed to bear the BILSTEIN name. This way, they can guarantee that celebrated BILSTEIN driving experience.

In 1954, Bilstein® was the first to realize the potential offered by an idea of Prof. Bourcier de Carbon, a French researcher in the field of vibrations. The aim was to eliminate the physical disadvantages of the conventional telescopic shock absorbers, whilst at the same time making the dampers lighter and able to be fitted in any position. The name Bilstein has for many decades been closely associated with high tech in the field of suspension design, driving comfort and safety. In order to expand this position in the future, Bilstein became a division of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in 1988, and a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2005. The partnership and co-operation within the group will enable the company to continue to inspire with innovations in the traditional Bilstein way.

Simple And Effective Lift!
These struts completed the lift that I was looking for on my 2013 Ford F150 FX4, I wasn't looking for a complete lift kit (just wanted to bring the front up an inch or two). These did the job! Looks great! Now I just have to decide on what tires and rims will complete the look. I had a co-worker install them and it went pretty smooth. Very satisfied!

Great Shocks
I installed the 5100 adjustable shocks on my 15 Toyota Tundra. Leveled it out perfectly. The only ride difference is that it's tighter in the turns. Less roll. Which to me is a positive. I'm very happy with the Bilstein 5100 and have recommended them to friends.

Satisfied Customer
Looks good, finish was a little rougher than painted type but they are shocks. Getting older now so decided to have them installed. Was surprised to see an open ended box with a set of 3 shocks in carton in which one of the had been torn open to be forced into carton. Then one more open ended box with only 1 shock box in it. If I hadn't received a discount which covered most of the shipping I would have been a bit more upset.

5100 Bilstein
I put these on my 2013 fx4. Elected to buy the 0 to 2 inch setting 5100's. The shocks had four perches for the height settings. I used the third setting and truck looks great. I also put the Bilstein 4600 on the rear. Now I have a 1 inch rake. Perfect, rides awesome.

More That I Thought They Would Be
I read multiple review about the best appearance level and 2.25" inch lift ion the front by simply installing these shocks is phenomenal. The look great and ride better that original. I had these installed prior to new rims and tires. Threw off alignment a little until the new tires went on. Once the new tires went on all is well. Worth every dollar.
