All Bed Slide are 4-1/23 from the top of the deck to the floor of the truck. The new adjustable height bearing tabs can raise the Bed Slide another 1/23 at the handle end to clear some tailgates.
How far does it extend?
Every Bed Slide has been designed to extend as far as possible without compromising your safety. With each model carrying a differing load capacity (from 800lbs to a TON) and since BedSlide offer sizes from 54” to 95” long, the percentage of extension is different on each variation. That said, in most cases the Bed Slide extends between 70-80%, some a little more and some a little less. However, in most ‘normal’ scenarios, the ability to access and reach your cargo without crawling into your truck is accomplished (depending on your height, agility, and your trucks suspension)
How much weight will it hold?
Weight is a biggie when deciding what model is for you. BedSlide offer options up to a whapping 2000 pounds! BedSlide make it easy; the weight is in the name. The Bed Slide 1000 Series holds 1000lbs etc.
If you’re going to max out your Bed Slide, be sure to evenly distribute the weight.
What are the decking materials?
Decking starts with Plywood than BedSlide finish it off with laminated nickel pattern rubberized overlay. Bed Slides are made to maximize style and function.
How much does the Bed Slide weigh?
Weight varies depending on your truck-bed length. A Bed Slide can be as little as 50 lbs. For short boxes, 188 lbs is typical, for long boxes - 216 lbs and Heavy Duty long boxes - 335 lbs.
Does the Bed Slide come assembled?
Just about. All Bed Slides come with assembled framework and decking. Minor assembly like attaching side rails needs to be done.
How long does it take to install?
If you have the Bed Slide unboxed and a prepared work environment, it takes as little as 30 minutes to install. It’s basically as simple as 4 bolts to your truck bed. If you’re not a professional, BedSlide recommend that you have one of Bed Slide B.E.D. locations handle installation. Bed Slides are large items to install alone.
Can I install a Bed Slide when I have a liner/ mat in the bed?
Fitment and installation is based on factory truck beds. Added truck bed accessories may affect the installation or fitment of the Bed Slide.
Can the Bed Slide be removed easily?
As fast as you can say, “Bed Slide Rules”. Plus the removal of 4 bolts and a friend to pick it up and out.
What is the warranty on a Bed Slide?

Will I void the warranty if I permanently mount equipment to the Bed Slide?
Watch out for areas where there are moving parts to make the Bed Slide function. And be sure to stay under the weight capacity. As long as you don’t modify the design and function, BedSlide’s got you covered.
Where is the serial number located on my Bed Slide?
Your Bed Slide serial number is located in 2 different locations. One is on the passenger’s side bottom frame right next to the bearings. The other is located of the backside of the front logo plate next to the latching handle.
My Bed Slide is in the closed position and I can’t get it to slide out. What can I do?
Check and see if the handle releases freely and does not bind, if so it’s possible that the cable attached to the latching pin has snapped or come un-done. Using a flat blade screwdriver push the latching pin in on both sides and slide the top frame out towards the rear of the truck. Repeat this process until you are able to remove the top frame as per the installation and removal instructions. Replace the latching pin assembly and install the top frame back on the bottom frame.
Is it easy to customize the Bed Slide?
With the plywood platform, customizing your Bed Slide to fit your specific needs is easy. Many people attach custom boxes, racks or dividers maximizing the Bed Slide’s use.
Can I drive with the Bed Slide in the extended position?
NEVER drive with the Bed Slide extended. It’s just not safe driving.
