BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG was founded in 1970 in Schiltach, Germany. Amateur racers Klaus Brand and Heinrich Baumgartner opened their business to fill the market niche of lightweight plastic and fiberglass auto body parts mostly used instead of steel body panels on race cars. Later, in an attempt to reduce the unsprung weight, the company’s engineers designed lightweight three-piece custom wheels for performance gains on the race track. The success of the company’s products in the motorsports scene attracted lots of attention of regular users and large car manufacturers, which translated into accelerated growth and expansion. The company’s motto “Technology through Motorsports” stays true even today, after decades of domination in the industry.
Our online store offers a comprehensive collection of 19 inch BBS wheels available in a gloss or matte finish. Cast monoblock, forge formed, or forged and CNC machined two-piece constructions come in a variety of colors, including black, brushed silver, bronze, or graphite gray.
