Hi-Flow Catted H-Pipe by BBK®. Main Piping Diameter: 2.5". H-pipes increase exhaust flow to gain horsepower by allowing both cylinder banks to make use of both sides of the exhaust system. These high-flow H-pipes are constructed from large diameter tubes that are CNC mandrel bent to ensure maximum flow and the most horsepower increase possible. These short versions are designed to connect to BBK full length, long tube headers, and come with catalytic converters or in off-road style without converters. Pipes without catalytic converters are for off road, race use only. Bolt-on installation; no cutting or welding required.

Get the most horsepower possible from your V8 engine with a BBK High-Flow H-Pipe. On a typical V8 engine, one cylinder on each bank fires within 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation of another cylinder on the same bank. The resulting exhaust pulses are very close together as they travel through the exhaust system. These close firing cylinders are competing for space in the exhaust pipe, which creates backpressure and reduces power. When the two close firing cylinders are exhausting on one bank, there is nothing happening in the other bank, so connecting both sides with an H-Pipe effectively enlarges the exhaust system, allowing these exhaust pulses to exit through both sides of the system. The exhaust pressure on both banks is equalized and power is increased at all engine speeds. H-Pipes work similarly to X-Pipes, however they generally will provide more low end grunt instead of high rpm power, and the exhaust note is somewhat deeper.
These H-Pipes are designed to connect BBK full length, long tube headers to the factory exhaust system, in a bolt-on installation, with no cutting or welding required. They’re constructed from large diameter tubing that is CNC mandrel bent. Mandrel bending ensures that exhaust flow will be consistent for the length of the tube and CNC control ensures that every bend is made according to design. Each pipe includes bungs to mount the O2 sensors and street legal versions come equipped with high-flow catalytic converters. The off-road pipes do not have catalytic converters and these are intended for off-road, race use only. In some cases a tuner will be required to switch off the rear O2 sensors.
BBK High-Flow H-Pipes come with all necessary hardware, as well as detailed instructions to guide you through the installation. Every H-pipe is backed by a 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, as long as the product was installed according to BBK guidelines.
