Our newest Advanced Rim Technology (A.R.T.) is the latest manufacturing process that incorporates traditional monoblock wheel casting methods with spin forming technology to drastically improve the material properties and enhances the overall strength of our wheels. The A.R.T. process impacts the micro-structure of aluminum by utilizing three hydraulic rollers to apply pressure to form the inner rim area after the wheel has been casted. The rollers move down the barrel, applying pressures to stretch, compress, and form the entire wheel barrel, ultimately increasing the tensile strength and elongation properties.
The end product is a lighter, stronger wheel that has an increased load capacity and shock resistance over the traditional cast aluminum wheel. A.R.T. provides up to a 25% weight reduction compared to a traditional cast wheel. The M610 weights for 19? sizes start at 21 lbs per wheel while the weights for 20? sizes start at 22 lbs per wheel.
A classic seven-spoke concaved monoblock design utilizing our Advanced Rim Technology that not only rigidifies, but also reduces the weight of the wheel drastically without sacrificing performance.

The finishing possibilities are limitless. Available in polished and custom powdercoated options, customize your M610 to achieve the specific look you are envisioning.
STEP 1.An initial casting unique to Flow Forging Technology is placed onto a steel rim and mold and prepped to be processed.
STEP 2. Extensive heat and pressure is applied using three individual rollers to shape the aluminum to the rim mold. The individually shaped rollers fortifies the barrel to the specified width and density allowing for a stronger wheel using less material.
STEP 3. The molecular compound of the aluminum significantly hardens in a streamline direction resulting in a wheel with a higher impact tolerance and considerably lighter in weight.
In order to maintain the highest quality possible, Avant Garde utilizes the latest in computer aided engineering and testing in the creation of wheels. The wheels are tested in the computer before they are put into production. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) visualizes the stress points in the wheel designs, allowing designers to quickly define the critical design parameters and make adjustments that optimize the weight/strength ratio without compromising the styling. Stringent testing to the JWL standard ensures that quality is never compromised. To detect even the most minute flaws, the wheels are put under pressure in a purpose designed water tank and X-rayed for hidden imperfections. The constant attention to detail and the stringent testing ensure that Avant Garde always provides customers with the highest quality wheels

Forging is a process that shapes the raw aluminum blank into the near-final form of the wheel under many tons of hydraulic pressure. A 250-ton rotary forge press forces 6061 T6 aerospace aluminum billet blanks into a steel die. Not only does the forging process shape the metal, it changes it dramatically, compressing it into a denser, stronger form with internal grain that follows the contour of the finished forging, for the ultimate in strength. Only detail machining is necessary to bring the wheel to its final contour. In the case of the Function Series wheels, that means the wheel is forged in several components, including a barrel and center that are fastened together by exotic titanium bolts. Final lightening of the center is accomplished by spoke beam contouring and back pad contouring. Available in 17", 18", 19" and 20" diameters.

F450 Brushed CandyThe design of these wheels is done with the latest technology of Finite Element Engineering, a process that allows the wheel designer to "build" a wheel in the computer and stress it with the loads it will see when in service. The software shows graphically where the stresses are concentrated in the wheel. By trimming metal here and there, and adding some where needed, it's possible to very quickly come to an optimum design, one that's the lightest and strongest possible. All of this is done in a few hours or days in the computer, instead of laboriously making prototypes and testing them until they fail. This accelerated design process generates the strongest, lightest wheels in the industry, and allows Avant Garde to develop many vehicle-specific styles and fitments in a very short period of time.
