This unit includes a plastic molded fuel resistant reservoir designed for holding fuel to make sure it is available during all operating conditions. The fuel pump is definitely the most important component of the module as it sends fuel under pressure to the vehicle's fuel system. The float and sender unit function together and are designed for measuring the fuel level in the tank and sending the information to the fuel gauge. A spring is included that expands according to temperature to keep the reservoir at the bottom of the tank and prevent fuel starvation. The assembly also includes the strainer that ensures filtration of the gasoline before it enters the fuel system.
