When it comes to creating the right look for your car or truck, a shimmering set of wheels can do more to make or break its appearance than almost any other accessory. The flip side of the coin is when you stand back and look at that new set of custom rims, you suddenly realize brake hardware that used to be hidden is now completely visible - especially disc brake calipers, which tend to discolor and tarnish over time.

For just a few dollars, caliper covers create a finished look - concealing any potentially nasty-looking brake calipers. So if you've already invested in a nice set of custom wheels and tires, you owe it to yourself to complete the visual appeal with caliper covers that offer bright, attractive colors as well as customization options such as brand logos and individual images.

Many classic vehicles and even some newer vehicles were built with disc brakes only in the front. On those vehicles, rear brakes were drums, and there was no factory option for a rear disc upgrade. For these makes and models, you will see caliper covers for the front brakes sold in sets of two only. To pinpoint a few examples, look at covers offered for a 1996 Honda Civic, 2012 Chevy Colorado pickup, or 2015 Scion iQ - among others.

For some other vehicles, lower trim versions were fitted with rear drum brakes and higher trim versions got rear disc brakes. In those cases, our website will display different kits on the same page. On the above example showing a Honda Civic as late as the 2015 model year, the HF, LX, and Natural Gas trim levels use two caliper covers, because these trim levels were originally equipped with rear drum brakes only. Since higher trim models such as the EX and Si came standard with rear disc brakes, these vehicles display a result showing four-cover sets, two each for front and rear.

Caliper Covers Product Options

Some vehicle models offered rear disc brakes as an option on certain trim level packages. Using a 2008 Chevy Silverado (LS trim level) or a 2012 Ford Focus (SE trim level) as examples, you'll be prompted to enter whether your specific vehicle has rear disc or rear drum brakes. Once that information is supplied, the caliper cover kits presented will correspond to the brake setup on your car or truck.

We don't want you to be concerned when you're in the process of ordering your caliper covers. We know that the expectation is to be able to install these beautiful covers on both the front and rear brakes of your ride. The simple reality is, your vehicle may not have the disc-brake setup in the rear which would be required for such an installation. On the bright side, you'll only be paying for the two front covers that you do need.

Please don't let that dissuade you from placing an order! Whether it's just the fronts, or all fours, a set of caliper covers is guaranteed to transform the looks of your car or truck!
