Replacement Grilles | How To Keep That Factory Fresh Look

Need a replacement factory-style grille? Restoring a classic? We’ve got OEM-look grilles and emblems going back decades - with quality and fit matching the originals.
Replacement Grilles | How To Keep That Factory Fresh Look

While custom grilles are among our most popular accessories, due to their relative affordability combined with the ease with which they can be installed, not everyone wants to change their vehicle's look. Yes, that billet or mesh grille transforms the front of your car; but it's still your car and therefore still your choice. You may, for various reasons, want to stay with the frontal factory appearance.

So what happens when that factory grille of yours needs replacing? Since most original equipment manufacturer (OEM) grilles made from the 1970s-on are made partially or wholly out of plastic components, certain areas tend to crack and break apart when stressed past their bending point. Making it worse is the fact that plastic, like any oil-based material, is subject to drying out over time. As that happens, older polymer blends become even less flexible, more brittle, and extremely prone to breakage. Small pieces of gridwork break off after minor rock hits or shopping cart dings, and even the gentlest of fender-benders in a parking lot can leave factory grilles decimated as a whole - broken into fragments that mar the look of any car or truck. And then there are unavoidable front-end accidents at higher speeds that no grille would survive, regardless of materials or construction.

Whether you're restoring a classic car or need to repair damage to a daily driver, we stock quality replacement grilles, emblems, and molding/frame pieces from reputable manufacturers such as Goodmark, Sherman, Replace, and Auto Metal Direct, all who specialize in building OEM quality parts at lower-than-OEM prices. Quality will be the same as what you'd get from a dealership parts department, and you'll spare yourself the dealer markup.

When we say quality is the same as OEM, we mean the parts we offer in the Replacement Grille Assemblies section of our website match the exact appearance, color(s), dimensions, contours, materials, thickness, and fitment of what was installed on your vehicle during its maiden voyage down the assembly line. We know because our employees have tested these products on their own vehicles.

Late Model Cars And Trucks

When it comes to OEM-style replacement grilles for late-model vehicles (say of the last 25 years), you'll find we’ve got a wide selection. Once you've entered vehicle make, model, and year information in the Product Options field, you may be prompted to select a "Quality" level from choices of Good, Better, or Best. In some instances, you'll see only of these to choose from. Other times, all three choices will be present. While you'll receive the same high-quality part no matter what level you select, "better" and "best" signify that certifications were awarded by independent automotive testing agencies after parts were submitted for review and inspection.

Parts marked "Better" mean they have been CAPA-certified. The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) is a third-party independent testing agency that performs rigid quality tests regarding fit/finish, performance, vibration/corrosion resistance, integrity, and material properties of new parts. The "Best" designation signifies a part was approved by NSF International, an accredited certification body that tests repair parts after use to ensure they've maintained original integrity when it comes to fit, form, and function.

Don't Forget Replacement Grille Emblems & Moldings

Grille Emblem Installation
If you've got a Chevy, GMC, Dodge Ram, or Ford 4x4 built in the last several decades, upgrade to a 1-piece billet aluminum grille emblem.

Replacement grilles we sell are equipped with mounting points that allow you to re-use existing factory emblems if you choose to. At such a point, you may realize that your original grille emblems have become weather-worn, tarnished, or riddled with chips from stones and other road debris. That's why we offer replacement grille emblems that match original equipment materials, colors, and dimensions for trouble-free installation and perfect looks.

We're not trying to talk you out of a custom grille; we simply recognize that the aftermarket style is not for everyone. If you are in love with your ride's stock appearance, or are doing a 100-point restoration on a classic, you want to stay with that OEM look. We've just shown you a way to accomplish that at something less than OEM prices. And in many cases, the installation is a DIY job, which saves you even more money.
