If the ride height on your air suspension-equipped vehicle sags in the corners overnight or during driving, faulty or worn air springs, struts, or shocks are most likely the issue. Air spring assemblies contain a flexible air bladder made of a multi-layer elastomer material that is reinforced by nylon cords. The inner layer is designed to be airtight, but over time as the bladder stretches to absorb forces within the air spring, cracks form as rubber naturally ages and dries out. Should you find yourself in the predicament of having to replace front air shocks or struts, Arnott offers completely new units that are rigorously designed and built to the fine OEM tolerances that your vehicle’s own manufacturer used. Plus, new Arnott parts are built using components from many of the same name brand companies such as Goodyear, Continental, Wabco, and others that your vehicle manufacturer used originally. Everything is sized and shaped precisely to original equipment dimensions, so these replacements are easy to bolt on without modification.

For even greater values, Arnott offers remanufactured air shocks, struts, and shocks that are made from cores purchased directly from vehicle manufacturers. After inspection of metal framework, all wear parts and parts that may have failed are then replaced. As with all-new springs, remanufactured ones are assembled with new parts sourced from brand name suppliers that your vehicle manufacturer may have used originally.

While it’s easy to assume the higher cost of “factory” parts you’ll pay a dealer reflects a much higher level of quality, that is not always the case. What it most often does reflect is the fact that dealerships mark up their parts 100 percent to cover their own high overhead costs of modernized buildings as well as the costs to heat, cool, and staff those modern all-glass structures. Because Arnott uses only high-quality components and seeks to improve internal parts which are known weak spots of factory designs, you’ll actually get equal (if not superior) quality air suspension items for a fraction of the cost. Arnott backs their air springs, shocks, and struts with a limited lifetime warranty for North American customers, and a 2-year warranty on orders outside of North America.

Founded in Florida in 1989, Arnott® began with self-taught knowledge of air springs by a father and son team who performed repairs on air suspension systems on vehicles so equipped across their home state of Florida. Word of the Arnott’s mechanical expertise on air springs spread to a growing customer base eager to hire them, inspiring them to design and produce their own equipment, beginning in 1994. Since then, Arnott has continued to specialize in high quality components for air suspension components only, and faithfully builds all parts they sell to equal or greater levels of quality and durability than manufacturers do – matching or improving on the materials, design, and thickness of seals to name just a few things. Cost savings and great values come not from cheaper construction, lack of product testing, or cut-rate labor from questionable locations, but from the absence of markup that new car dealers and manufacturers subject customers to. Arnott proudly manufacturers and re-manufactures air springs and other suspension kits in the United States.

Great Product
Arnott® AS-2177 - Rear Air Shock Absorbers
I purchased Arnott AS-2177 rear shock absorbers for my 97 Cadillac Seville SLS. My vehicle is 24 years old, I was apprehensive to install air shocks, not knowing if my Seville had holes in the air lines or air compressor would need replacement etc... Thought it could become a money pit. My main concern was even though the Arnott conventional shocks had all the connections for my computer, would it fool the computer. I spoke with Jeremy Cocal with CARiD. I explained my concerns and Jeremy called tech support to make sure my onboard computer would indeed be fooled. I had a mechanic install them ( so I don't know if he had any trouble). Lo and behold, my computer is fooled, the ride is great, back to the smooth Cadillac ride. I will purchase front shocks when needed from CARiD, would like to speak with Jeremy when I am ready to purchase. I highly recommend, CARiD, Jeremy and Arnott conventional rear shock absorbers for anyone who has an older Cadillac apprehensive to install air shocks. ~NHL~

Good Product but They Cut a Major Corner
Arnott® AS-2177 - Rear Air Shock Absorbers
The product quality was good, but it didn't come with any hardware (rubber bushings, nuts). In my case this product was used to replace the shocks on a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado - the original hardware for this car is no longer being produced so finding rubber bushings and nuts has been a challenge. I had to call in a favor at my local Napa and they took the bushings and bolts from some of their own shock absorbers to make it work. Again, it's a nice product, but it's the only one I've identified on the market that didn't come with hardware and finding the hardware has taken a ton of research and phone calls. It's disappointing that a company can make such a quality product only to skimp on something as small as a rubber bushing and a nut.

Good Product, Some Install Trouble
Arnott® AS-2177 - Rear Air Shock Absorbers
The shocks were a perfect fit, wiring plugs fit was excellent, and after they were mounted car level ride worked perfectly. Installation was not a breeze though. The old nuts were rusted on and we could not cut them off because the new shocks did not come with new nuts or grommets. Called the Caddy dealer, they told us that the new nuts were special order, and the size and description they gave didn't even come close to the nuts on the car. (Original nuts from the factory). Arnott should supply the nuts, as all replacement shocks come with new nuts and grommets. Will be calling Arnott to tell them that they make a good product, but like most companies now a days, if they can save a couple of cents, they will, at the consumer's expense. The nuts are not pictured in the photo's, so make sure you have new nuts if yours are rusted badly. Original shocks used allen to keep thee shaft from turning, Arnott uses Torx. CARiD delivered all they showed and promised. Fast delivery, and excellent service.

Great Alternative To OE Prices
The shocks arrived as planned, were packed well & in tack. The installation was a chore due to the top rusted nut on the original shocks. I was working on a 1997 sts model. A lot of heat was required and caution not to damage the upper mounts. One of tho OE air lines wouldn't come apart, & I purchase a air shock line kit at my jobber store. A new upper shock mounting nut would make the job easier. Definitely a great product & no problem with any warning lights coming on. Beware, your rear air ride system must be functioning properly for these shocks to work for you.
