The 3" tubing fits the scale of compact and mid-sized vehicles, and they are set at a height that is precisely determined to be the most convenient for exit and entry. 3" side bars are made from steel and come in 304 polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder coat carbon steel. 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. To give carbon steel side bars an added edge, each unit goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching.
3" round side bars come with carbon steel brackets and an anti-skid step pad. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bar to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They feature a no-drill application for easy installation and offer the strength necessary to provide sound footing. The Aries 3" round side bar also comes with a non-skid step pad made of polypropylene. This wide step pad features a textured pattern and covers a wide portion of the rail to be more comfortable and easier to stand on.
