How to Maintain Your Tonneau Cover
Once you get a tonneau cover, you need to know how to take good care of your cover in good condition. It is pretty easy and inexpensive if you maintain your cover and ensure it can last longer. Check the rails if tightly secured in place, make sure the cover can open and closes smoothly. Try pulling the S.S wire which located in the middle of rear cover, check if buckle on both end of rails can secure/ release the rolled tarp easily. (For Lock and Roll Sytle)
Check all bolts, clamps, and mounting hardware are securely in place. Check your tonneau cover for any debris, corrosion, looseness, and scratch on surface. Don’t stand or put heavy stuff on the top of your tonneau cover, it will cause serious damage on structure or make leather cover sagging. Experts recommend normal cleaning using mild cleaner and water on a regular basis to remove debris, dirt and stain from your tonneau cover. The cleaner is easy on the truck and won’t harm your cover. If your cover mateiral is vinyl leather, apply vinyl cleaner to keep it clean regularly. Use sponge or soft cotton cloth to dry the cover.
