AEM makes it easy to hot-rod your modern fuel-injected, computer-controlled car. Instead of installing performance parts like bigger injectors and nitrous oxide and trying to make them work by modifying the harness, sensors, or adding modules, just install AEM’s Series 2 Plug and Play EMS and you’ll have complete control of your engine and driveline. The Series 2 EMS allows you to control every aspect of your engine, including variable valve timing, RPM limit, timing, adding larger injectors, boost control, nitrous injection, even anti-lag and individual cylinder fuel and timing trims. And it does this using your vehicle’s factory wiring harness and existing sensors. The Series 2 EMS is a real plug and play unit; it connects directly into your vehicle’s factory ECU harness and requires no additional wiring or hardware. It comes loaded with AEM’s Windows compatible AEMTuner software, which simplifies copying, viewing, and data manipulation. Just connect your laptop or PC to the Series 2 EMS with the included 10’ USB cable or 6’ serial cable, and start tuning.

The Series 2 EMS can accommodate 3 trigger inputs (Ref/Sync), up to 12 analog voltage inputs, up to 6 analog temperature inputs, up to 8 switch inputs, 2 Lambda inputs, and 2 knock sensor inputs. It has an internal barometric pressure sensor, and a user adjustable knock sensor center frequency. It’s capable of up to 12 injector outputs, up to 8 ignition outputs, up to 12 general purpose low side outputs, up to 4 general purpose high side outputs, and individual cylinder ignition and fuel trims.

Functions and features include groundspeed based boost target, staged nitrous injection, ground speed limiting, overrun boost enhancement (anti-lag), gear change ignition cut (shift without lift), stepper motor idle control, continuously variable cam control for 4 cams, main relay control, VTEC control, fuel and ignition rev limiters, “in-cockpit” global fuel trim capability, and gear dependent shift light.

Start-up calibrations are included to get you headed in the right direction. The AEMTuner software has colored tables and maps, includes a support pane to give you context sensitive help, and uses tuners’ actual calibrations to describe each function. You can graphically compare tables and maps for easy analysis, and internal conflict detection will alert you if obvious errors exist in the assignment of inputs/outputs. The included AEM data analysis software features advanced 3D graphics, and allows you to review and playback vehicle, driver, or engine data and overlay this data using charts, dash displays, gauges, or custom displays that you create. Maps can be password protected to prevent unauthorized usage or sharing.

John Concialdi and Bob Sullivan co founded AEM in 1987 as a tuning performance shop in Compton California. Both men had extensive technical backgrounds in engines and engine airflow, and in a short time AEM became the go-to company for performance modifications. By 1993, when the company relocated to Gardena California, it had become commonplace to see cars wearing the bright yellow AEM logo winning races. AEM tirelessly dyno tested and worked closely with racers and auto manufacturers in an effort to understand intake energy dynamics. This resulted in the sale of their first air intake kit in 1994. AEM can boast a number of firsts and unique products: They’re the first manufacturer to make an intake system with specific tube lengths and diameters to take advantage of pressure waves in the inlet tract; they developed the first dual chamber intake kit; they designed an air bypass valve to prevent hydro-lock should the air filter ingest water; and they created one of the first hybrid intake systems for modified cars. Warranty Information

AEM warrants that its air intake systems and Dryflow™ air filters will last for the life of your vehicle. AEM will not honor this warranty due to mechanical damage (i.e. improper installation or fitment), damage from misuse, accidents or flying debris. On air intakes AEM will not warrant its powder coating if the finish has been cleaned with a hydrocarbon-based solvent. The powder coating should only be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Proof of purchase of both the vehicle and AEM part is required for redemption of a warranty claim. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the AEM part. In no event shall this warranty exceed the original purchase price of the AEM part nor shall AEM be responsible for special, incidental or consequential damages or cost incurred due to the failure of this product. Warranty claims to AEM must be transportation prepaid and accompanied with dated proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of product and is non-transferable. Improper use or installation, use for racing, accident, abuse, unauthorized repairs or alterations voids this warranty. AEM disclaims any liability for consequential damages due to breach of any written or implied warranty on all products manufactured by AEM. Warranty returns will only be accepted by AEM when accompanied by a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Credit for defective products will be issued pending inspection. Product must be received by AEM within 30 days of the date RMA is issued. If you have a warranty issue, please contact AEM and thier customer service department will assist you. A proof of purchase is required for all AEM warranty claims.
