For more than ten years, the world’s top companies have looked to ACAT Global for advanced catalytic converter solutions. Designed for automotive, marine, industrial and energy generation applications, their catalytic converters are proven to reduce emissions while increasing power and efficiency – unlike any other product on the market. What sets ACAT Global apart is their proprietary metallic herringbone substrate technology.
Using a special bonding process, their advanced catalytic converters can be formed into an endless variety of shapes, sizes and cell densities. The result? Improved fuel economy, increased performance and improved noise vibration and harshness for an endless range of applications at a cost that’s lower than other manufacturer models.
Their products also meet the highest reliability standards and have passed The California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards by 25% and exceeded the OEM 250-hour Durability Test with no degradation or foil cracking at 440 hours.
Of course, all their advanced products are available for much less than other catalytic converter brands. Top brands around the world trust ACAT Global for their superior catalytic converter technology.
HISTORY
Advanced Catalytic Global (ACAT Global) was created in 2010 when founder and CEO, Joseph Moch, acquired Delphi’s catalytic converter related metal monolith herringbone technology. The purchase included the intellectual property, as well as the research and development that Delphi had conducted over 20 years for its catalytic converter substrate technology.
In addition to the technology, which was pioneered by General Motors, ACAT Global also acquired Delphi’s Michigan manufacturing, production and operational assets spanning over 70,000 sq. ft. The majority of the senior-level Delphi engineers who were dedicated to the catalytic converter development joined ACAT Global to continue their work on the company’s proprietary solutions.
Over the last decade ACAT Global has continued to lead the development of solutions that offer companies the ability to comply with government emission and sound regulations in a less costly manner. In 2012 the company achieved ISO-9001 certification and is currently certified at the ISO: 9001: 2015 by NSF.
Between 2013 and 2014, the company grew again through the acquisitions of Emico, Whitman Manufacturing in the greater Toronto area, and Oliver Racing Parts.
Emico was established in 1996 as a spin-off of Volkswagen of Canada, but its roots date back to the early 1980s as the company’s catalytic converter manufacturing arm. Whitman Manufacturing, which was founded in 1989, focused on the design and production of emissions, exhaust and related components with special emphasis in the power generation and turf maintenance industries. Oliver Racing Parts, a precision machining company, specialized in connecting rod manufacturing for the auto racing market during the past 30+ years.
Today, ACAT Global combines all the technology, talent and resources of these successful legacy companies. Organized into three operating divisions: ACAT Global, ACAT Exhaust and ACAT Metallic, they are focused on engineering and delivering on their brand promise: superior emission control and tubular metal solutions, whether in part or in total, based on customers’ specific needs – at a competitive price point.
Their core competencies include:
Emission control & exhaust components and systems
Metallic substrate technology
Tubular assemblies
Welded assemblies
COMPLIANCE
From the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the California Air Resources Board (CARB), ACAT Global is proud to work closely with federal and state institutions to engineer products that reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency and meet or exceed government standards. They understand their mission and work hard to ensure their solutions meet them every time, mile after mile.
