Both models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine, which generates 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque - enough to accelerate the vehicle from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. All 2016 Audi TTs are equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox with the available manual shifting mode and all-wheel drive. Such a setup provides generous fuel efficiency rated at 23 mpg city/30 mpg highway, unflappable handling, and smooth ride.

The 2016 Audi TT’s interior is a remarkable example of a contemporary style and mindful use of electronics. 12.3-inch "virtual cockpit" display comes standard and functions not only as a digital gauge cluster, but as an infotainment system as well, eliminating the need for placing an additional screen on a dashboard. The MMI control knob is also included and is now placed on the center console. Both coupe and convertible body forms provide a decent amount of space for taller people on the front seats, while the coupe’s back row seems to be too tiny to comfortably accommodate an adult person. Back seats, however, can be folded down in order to expand modest 12 cubic feet of cargo space. As for the convertible, it features a 7.5-cubic-feet cargo area.
