Unlike most other carmakers, Tesla runs updates to its vehicles throughout the year, especially if they concern electronics and software. For 2015, there were some exceptions – Tesla revised its Model S lineup, increasing the battery capacity of certain models. The standard P85 version was ceased and its place was taken by the P85D introduced in late 2014 that comes with two motors and all-wheel drive. A non-performance-oriented variant using an 85-kWh battery (85D) is available too. Later in the model year, the lineup was changed again – the 70D model joined the line and the 85 variant was succeeded by the new 90 that features enhanced battery capacity.

The 2015 Tesla Model S delivers an outstanding combination of attractive look, excellent efficiency, comfort, luxury, and advanced technologies. Unlike most electric vehicles that are focused on efficiency, the Model S also delivers thrilling performance, being capable of reaching 60 mph in 2.8 seconds (in its most dynamic incarnation). Plus, the car delivers superior range varying between 208 and 270 miles, depending on the version. At the same time, it ensures a high safety level, being one of the safest cars on the road. A specific platform with batteries located on the floor contributes to a low center of gravity that decreases the risk of rollover. Besides, it improves performance and handling. There is no gasoline engine in the Model S, that’s why its front crumple zone is much larger, hence the vehicle can absorb the energy in case of a front-end impact.

The lineup of the 2015 Tesla Model S includes a number of models with their nameplates referring to the capacity of the battery. The letter P refers to performance models, while D means that the vehicle comes with two motors and all-wheel drive. The entry-level variant comes with automatic xenon headlights, 19” wheels, LED taillights, 17” touchscreen, climate control, all-season tires, vinyl and cloth upholstery, heated front seats, rear-view camera, Bluetooth, a pair of USB ports, and 7-speaker audio system. Great Mat
Bought for the second row. I like that it fits over the hump. It also fits snug so it's not getting pushed around. Great buy.
