    Wilwood Brakes

Ford Mustang 2015, Drilled and Slotted Rotor Narrow DynaPro Caliper Brake Kit by Wilwood®. Specially designed for drag racing, this brake kit will greatly improve your brake response and pad performance throughout the entire range of light to heavy braking. Drilled and slotted rotor design helps to effectively reduce pad glaze and disperse gasses and heat generated during the pad and rotor interface. With less weight resulting in faster E.T’s, Wilwood brake kits always perform at their peak.

    • Proudly manufactured in the United States

    • Drilled holes and Slots create an escape route for debris, dust, gases, and water
    • Slots clean and de-glaze pad surface for optimum pad coefficient of friction
    • Slots help to increase pad bite and improve air circulation
    • Drilled holes and Slots reduce stopping distances in wet weather
    • Drilled rotors improve the appearance of your wheels and provide reduced rotor weight
    • 2-Piece rotors offer great weight savings and provide rapid heat dissipation compared to 1-piece rotors
    • Vented type of rotors offer much faster heat dissipation
    • Multi-piston calipers provide clamping force on both sides of the rotor at the same time and uniformly transfer braking force to the brake pads
    • Caliper pistons are hollow to save weight
    • Aluminum caliper body allows for exceptional light weight (up to 40% of weight savings) and ensures superior corrosion resistance
    • Caliper heat-resistant coating prevent cracking and fading
    • Fixed calipers create friction from the brake pads on both sides of the rotor at minimum time interval

Wilwood has put great efforts into developing superior brake kits especially for drag race applications. Wilwood Drag Race brake kits have become a favorite choice for drag racers thanks to their extreme durability and outstanding stopping power. The Drag Race SRP Drilled and Slotted Brake Kit is engineered to match high requirements of drag racing. The package includes performance rotors, reliable brake pads and calipers representing the latest racing technology.

SRP Drilled and Slotted Rotors feature a specially engineered directional cross drill and face slot pattern for improved brake response. The venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots reduce pad glaze and disperse gasses and heat generated during the pad to rotor interface. The holes and slots also inhibit irregular pad compound build up on the rotor faces resulting in smoother engagement and improved pedal response in all conditions.

Fixed calipers by Wilwood offer unmatched stopping power. The pistons in fixed calipers are located on both sides of the disc, allowing for evenly distributed clamping force. They apply more squeezing power and apply it more evenly during braking as force is directly applied to both sides. Multi-piston calipers allow for more even braking and, as a result, less pad distortion. The more number of pistons a caliper has, the more clamping force it provides. Thanks to the evenly distributed pressure, these calipers ensure an even wear pattern along the entire length of the brake pad. Usually these calipers have smaller diameter pistons than single-piston calipers. This rotor design by Wilwood combines the best features of a slotted rotor and cross-drilled rotor allowing your brakes to run cooler and sweep away water and dust. The cross-drilled and slotted rotors improve air circulation and increase brake pad bite, ensuring incredible stopping performance.

Wilwood® Engineering designs and manufactures high-performance disc brake systems. Since founding in 1977, Wilwood has developed a substantial matrix of brake components and engineering techniques that allow us to quickly and reliably create brake systems for almost any application. Their core ability is the rapid development of custom engineered brake systems using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom components. In addition to designing and manufacturing brakes for all types of competitive motor sports, Wilwood also manufactures brake systems and components for agricultural equipment, industrial applications, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and military vehicles.

    Warranty Information

Do not drive on untested brakes. Brakes must be tested after installation or maintenance.

    • Make sure pedal is firm: Hold firm pressure on pedal for several minutes, it should remain in position without sinking. If pedal sinks toward floor, check system for fluid leaks. DO NOT drive vehicle if pedal does not stay firm or can be pushed to the floor with normal pressure.
    • At very low speed (2-5 mph) apply brakes hard several times while turning steering from full left to full right, repeat several times. Remove the wheels and check that components are not touching, rubbing, or leaking.
    • Carefully examine all brake components, brake lines, and fittings for leaks and interference.
    • Make sure there is no interference with wheels or suspension components.
    • Drive vehicle at low speed (15-20 mph) making moderate and hard stops. Brakes should feel normal and positive. Again check for leaks and interference.
    • Always test vehicle in a safe place where there is no danger to (or from) other people or vehicles.
    • Always wear seat belts and make use of all safety equipment.
