A fuel level sensor tells how much fuel is left in the tank. Basically, it consists of three components. A float rests on the surface of the fuel and is connected to an actuating rod that travels up and down as the level of the fuel changes. The most important part is a resistor, which actually signals ECM (Electronic Control Module) the level of fuel contained in a tank. A faulty fuel level sensor makes a gauge read wrong, for example, tell “full” for a long time after a fill-up.
If you need an accurate fuel level sensor, Airtex is your premier choice! The experts at Airtex spare no effort to improve upon OE design and performance of the fuel delivery system components they manufacture. Airtex uses ceramic sender cards and vehicle specific float arms to ensure the accuracy of the fuel gauge readout.
