2013 GMC Sierra

The GMC Sierra continues delivering excellent capability, dependability, and power, while offering a few updates for 2013. The truck utilizes a range of robust engines, with a 4.3 L 195-hp V6 being the base one. A number of V8 options are available too, including Flex Fuel ones, with a 6.2 L V8 that makes 403 hp being the top-of-the-line engine (standard for the Sierra Denali). These units use advanced technologies like Variable Valve Timing and Active Fuel Management, delivering excellent performance and high fuel efficiency. These technologies allow the Sierra XFE to be the only full-size truck to generate over 300 hp and return more than 21 mpg hwy. The highest fuel efficiency is provided by the segment-exclusive Sierra Hybrid (23 mpg hwy). As for transmission options, two automatic gearboxes are available, with four and six speeds.

The 2013 GMC Sierra is based on a strong architecture by GM and can carry up to 1,937 lb. Equipped with a Max trailering package (optional) and a 6.2 L V8, the truck can tow 10,700 lb. The model features a fully boxed frame with a hydroformed front section, rack-and-pinion steering and coil-over-shock suspension setup in front. Wide tracks, both front and rear, improve stability and handling and steel frame reduces vibrations, allowing the model to deliver a comfortable ride and confident road feel. For 2013, the Sierra offers power grade braking available in the normal transmission mode. Using engine torque, it slows your truck on descents, reducing brake wear this way. Before, this feature was incorporated only with the activated Tow/Haul mode. Powertrain grade braking is offered for 5.3 L and 6.2 L power units connected to a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2013 Sierra Denali continues providing an incredibly high level of luxury and capability. The model employs the most potent in the lineup 6.2 L V8 good for 403 hp. It also comes with a specially tuned suspension, automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, StabiliTrak, and recovery hooks, all standard. The truck looks distinctive thanks to a special chrome grille and 21” aluminum wheels, body-color bumpers, and additional chrome trim. Inside, there is a heated leather steering wheel, leather-appointed seats, unique center console, and embossed sill plates.
