Although Chevrolet trucks have been beaten by the Ford F-Series in the sales game for quite a long time, accumulative sales of the Silverado and GMC Sierra, which are basically identical vehicles, in fact surpass those of Ford's offerings. In 2006, GM came up with yet another generation of their full-size rigs. Based on the all-new GMT900 platform, the Silverado and its GMC-badged sibling entered the market with a scope of impressive capabilities, nice looks, and improved interior that immediately boosted their sales. By 2010, though, it was just about time for a mid-cycle refresh.

Welcome improvements were made to the exterior, interior, and packaging of the 2010 Silverado 1500 and its heavy-duty linemates. Given that 1/2-ton models got a newly designed front fascia a year before, the 2010 model year brings new exterior features to the 2500 and 3500 HD. Taupe Gray Metallic and Sheer Silver Metallic are two of the new colors that one can choose for the vehicle’s body. Inside the cabin, the refreshed Chevy Silverado benefits from improved quality of materials, adds new door panels with cupholders, USB port, and offers side-impact airbags, which have become standard for all trim levels. There is a choice of two interiors, either work-oriented (WT and LT) or luxury-inspired (LTZ).

The mechanical updates were made as well. The archaic 6.0L V-8 engine is no longer available, leaving those who are used to exploring their truck’s upper towing limits with a 6.2L V8 as the only option. Both 4.8L and 5.3L V8s underwent modifications and ended up with sophisticated variable valve timing systems allowing them to produce more power and boosting their eco-friendliness. There's also a new six-speed automatic transmission that allows for improved performance and better fuel efficiency.

Great Liner & Easy To Install
Seriously, this liner was extremely easy to get into the bed! From start to finish in under an hour, only because I took my time to make certain I was fooling all the instructions. After the install, I stepped back- looks great! The only slight drawback was not receiving the hardware (screws & hole covers came separately) until 3 days later.
