Jeep Wrangler 2004, Extreme Seires Black Powder Coat Rock Rails by Body Armor®, 1 Pair. The Extreme Rock Rails were engineered with the enthusiast that wants the maximum protection for his Jeep. The back plate is manufactured from 3/16” steel plate. The Extreme Rock Rails are designed to maximize body protection while maximizing ground clearance. We added a 1.75” diameter .120 wall kick-out tube which works as a rub rail. They also work great as a step. Installation required drilling holes into the tub to secure the top of the plate to the body. They also attach to underside of the rocker panel for full wrap around protection. They are painted with our dual process textured black powder coat finish.

    Notes: Mounting brackets Included.

    Body Armor 4x4

    • Protects Jeep body sheet metal
    • Provides sliding surface for rocks and stumps
    • 3/16” steel plate
    • .12 wall 2” kick out rail
    • Back plate rolls under the body for added protection
    • Plate steel construction
    • Drilling and Riv-Nut installation required

Serious off-road rock crawling often means scraping the rocker panels of your Jeep against rocks or stumps. The most immediate issue with that is having a sharp rock dig into the thin sheet metal, and hanging up. That will seriously impede forward progress. Second issue: you're tearing up your Jeep! Add these Rock rails to reinforce the area. The hardened steel plate and rails will let rocks and stumps slide right along instead of digging in. You'll get to camp sooner, and aside from a few long scratches along the bottom, none the worse for wear. Installing thee rugged rails does involve some drilling of holes and installing some Riv-Nuts in the sheet metal, but it's still an easy driveway project.
