Remove the restriction to power and torque that the restrictive OEM exhaust system has saddled you with. This system uses stainless steel tubing that's mandrel-bent for a constant cross section - even in the curved section of the pipe. Reduced back pressure means better cylinder scavenging, increased cylinder filing and more power. At the same time, reduced back pressure means improved fuel economy, because you use less throttle to go the same speed. You're not paying for fuel that is used to push spent exhaust gases through a restrictive bunch of undersized pipes with constricted, restrictive bends.
The 7" Monster muffler's straight-through design has essentially zero resistance to flow, but still keeps the neighbors happy. The expansion-chamber design eliminates freeway drone keeping the driver and passengers happy at the same time. With 4" inlet and outlet, the Monster muffler has a high-temperature ceramic packing that will far outlast the fiberglass used in many aftermarket mufflers. Even though this muffler is slightly smaller in diameter than the 8.5" Monster muffler, the core is still a full 4" diameter, straight through for maximum exhaust flow.
