Premium products from leading names

The Tundra by Toyota is one of the most reliable pickup trucks on the market. It is smaller than its domestic competitors but is incredibly responsive and easier to drive. Besides, the Toyota Tundra is potent and capable – it can tow 7,100 lb and carry up to 1,800 lb. For 2003, Toyota added the new StepSide model to the Tundra lineup. It offers distinctive styling features, such as special tail lights and flared wheel arches in the rear. The new model can be even sportier thanks to an available sport suspension package. Other versions of the 2003 Toyota Tundra now come with a restyled front fascia, center console similar to the one featured by the Sequoia, and standard anti-lock brakes. A line-topping Limited grade also received a power sliding window in the rear.

The base engine for the 2003 Toyota Tundra is a 3.4 L V6 that delivers 190 hp and can be connected to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. A 4.7 L V8 good for 240 hp is available too, with power directed solely through a 4-speed automatic. The interior of the Tundra is well-designed and comfortable, with straightforward instruments and accessory switches gathered in the center cluster for easy operation. The new center console shared with the Sequoia incorporates dual map pockets, covered storage and four cupholders. The 2003 Tundra offers more front legroom than any other U.S. pickup truck. As for safety features, the truck comes with force limiters, dual front airbags, side-impact beams, and advanced seatbelt system.

Regular-cab Tundras feature 8-ft beds, while Access cabs come with 6-ft-3” ones. The base version is quite plain, offering 2WD, regular cab configuration, and painted bumpers. Air conditioning is available as an option. The SR5 grade also offers an Access cab and 4WD, while cruise control, air conditioning, chrome bumpers, tilt steering, tachometer, and stereo system are standard. The line-topping Limited trim comes exclusively as an Access cab with the V8 engine. It offers a long list of standard features, including ABS, keyless entry, DRLs, anti-theft system, audio controls on the steering wheel, and in-dash CD changer.
