Premium products from leading names

For 2003, Ford introduced two new packages for the F-150 – a special Heritage Edition and a sporty STX. The latter is focused on young customers, offering 17” chrome wheels, color-keyed bumpers, clear lens headlights, chrome step rails, integrated fog lights, and stereo system by Kenwood instead of a standard radio. The Heritage Edition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of trucks by Ford and offers a lot of unique styling flairs like paint striping, lower valance, black bedliner, 17” wheels, and special badging. It is available only as a SuperCab model with a 139” wheelbase. “Old” versions of the F-150 also received some updates. For instance, the Lariat now comes with a CD/cassette audio system by Pioneer and rear window defroster. The King Ranch received lighted step bars, new interior trim, and in-dash CD changer.

The 2003 Ford F-150 offers three engine choices, with a 4.2 L 202-hp V6 as the base one. There's also a 4.6 L V8 that can develop 220 hp and a line-topping 5.4 L 260-hp V8 recommended for those who plan on using their F-150 for serious work. Two transmission options are available – a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. The 2003 F-150 is offered with two-wheel and four-wheel drive. 4WD variants employ a transfer case lever, allowing the driver to turn 4WD High on and off. In addition, an electrically engaged transfer case operated from the dashboard is offered as an option.

The renowned F-150 features styling cues traditional for a pickup truck of the time, such as rounded body panels and a large, bold grille. Available in three cab styles (regular, SuperCab, and SuperCrew), the F-150 offers a choice of two bed sizes – 6.5-foot and 8-foot. Trucks outfitted with a short bed also come with Flareside fenders. Both SuperCew and SuperCab variants come with four doors with some constructional differences. The SuperCab features narrow rear doors, they’re rear-hinged and can be opened only if the front doors are already open. The SuperCrew version comes with four front-hinged doors that can be opened similar to the doors in a passenger car. Besides, it comes with a short bed only and is well-equipped, offering leather upholstery, a sunroof (optional), rear-seat entertainment system, and pedals with power adjustment.

They are great, the hood wrapped really good in foam not to much worry about shipping, will need some sanding before paint, but besides that everything was good there is also mesh wire in the grill slots.
