Clutch Master Cylinder Kit by Omix-ADA®. Direct Fit. 5 Year Limited Warranty. The clutch master and slave cylinders, along with the connecting fluid line, make up the hydraulic clutch linkage. When the clutch pedal is depressed, fluid pressure actuates the slave cylinder, which in turn applies the release bearing, disengaging the clutch. The master and slave cylinders can leak and wear internally, and keep you from being able to disengage the clutch. If your clutch hydraulic assembly is in need of replacement, Omix-ADA has the new unit that will have your clutch functioning again.

The clutch hydraulic system is similar to a brake hydraulic system, except instead of actuating brake pads or shoes, the hydraulic clutch system actuates the clutch release bearing. However, like the brake hydraulic system, the clutch hydraulic system can malfunction due to similar defects, like fluid leaks, internal wear of the bore and piston seals, and air in the system. External fluid leaks and internal seal wear can cause a soft pedal or excessive pedal travel. An excessively hard pedal can be caused by binding in the system, which could be caused by contamination of the fluid swelling the seals, or a restricted fluid line. Any of these symptoms can prevent clutch disengagement, rendering your vehicle undriveable.
