Premium products from leading names

The GMC Sierra received a range of updates for 2001, led by the introduction of the new model named the C3. It is the line-topping trim level that offers virtually all available options. Offered as an extended cab, the Sierra C3 comes with a 6.0 L V8 unit delivering 325 hp directed through a 4-speed automatic. The truck also offers unique front styling dominated by a black machine-textured grille, body-colored moldings, door handles and mirrors, and full-time all-wheel drive. Inside, the new model features a leather interior, extra sound deadening, OnStar communication system, 6-CD changer, and audio controls for rear passengers. In addition, the Sierra C3 provides higher payload and towing capacities than other light-duty models of the lineup.

The 2001 GMC Sierra offers a number of engine options, with a 4.3 L V6 capable of producing 200 hp being the base variant. Optional engines include a 4.8 L V8 good for 270 hp and 5.3 L V8 delivering 285 hp – the latter is standard for heavy-duty (HD) versions of the Sierra. A 6.0 L V8 that develops 300 hp is optional. Two transmissions are offered – 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. For 2001, all engines were revised and now deliver higher durability and fuel efficiency. Also new for 2001, 2WD versions of the Sierra fitted with V8s and automatic transmissions can be also equipped with electronic traction assist. All-wheel drive is available for all variants of the Sierra, with two AWD systems offered. Insta-Trac is an on-demand system that can be turned on and off on the move. Autotrac engages automatically – when you drive on slippery surfaces, it sends power to all four wheels, but when you’re on the smooth surface, all the power is transferred to the rear wheels.

The 2001 GMC Sierra features one of the most comfortable interiors in its class. The cab is the most spacious in the industry and door openings are the largest, so you can get in and out easily and move comfortably. There are three 12V power outlets for your electronic devices. The Sierra features large heavy-duty disc brakes and ABS as standard. If you’re looking for any kind of 2001 GMC Sierra accessories and parts, you will find them here. 2001 GMC Sierra Accessories & Parts Reviews

Looks Nice
I had trouble getting the stitches tight and the string kept knotting but finally got it on. Also, it seemed a bit small and I had great difficulties getting it to look good. Looks good but in no way are the stiching tight like the images online. It’s acceptable and is far better than the original steering wheel.
