Features:

  • Maintains critical valvetrain and balance shaft timing
  • Prevents performance problems and possible engine damage that can result from incorrect timing
  • Manufactured by the world leader in timing drive systems
  • The only aftermarket timing component manufacturer that is also a Tier 1 supplier to original equipment vehicle manufacturers
  • Cloyes maintains ISO/TS 16949 quality certification
  • Manufactured in company owned plants from the highest quality materials and to the highest quality standards

The crankshaft drives the valvetrain and balance shafts, on engines so equipped, via timing belts or chains. Belt and chain timing must be precise to ensure the valves open and close at the right time, for optimum engine performance, and the balance shaft weights are in the correct position, to eliminate engine vibration. However, worn belts/chains and sprockets can cause timing to go astray. A stretched or worn engine timing belt/chain can jump one or more sprocket teeth, causing the engine to not start or run poorly. On an interference engine, improper valvetrain timing could result in contact between pistons and valves, and severe engine damage. A stretched or worn balance shaft belt/chain could cause incorrect balance shaft timing resulting in severe vibration.

When it’s time to replace worn timing system components, depend on Cloyes for the OE quality belts, chains and related timing drive components that will restore engine performance and reliability. Cloyes has been manufacturing timing components for over 80 years. It’s their only product line, which enables them to concentrate on maintaining the highest quality standards. In fact, Cloyes has achieved ISO/TS 16949 quality certification, the highest level offered for the design/development and production of automotive related products. Cloyes is the only aftermarket timing component manufacturer that is also a Tier 1 supplier to OE vehicle manufacturers. As an OE supplier, Cloyes knows how to make parts that install and work perfectly, so you can be assured that whatever timing components you need for your vehicle, with Cloyes you’ll get OE fit and function.

Cloyes parts are CAD designed and manufactured using advanced materials. Each part is extensively tested for function and durability to ensure optimal performance. Cloyes is so confident in the quality and performance of its timing components that it warrants all except high-performance products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle in which the product is originally installed.

Cloyes® made its name as a successful manufacturer of high-quality OEM, Aftermarket, and High Performance automotive timing drive systems and components. The company also invented and patented the revolutionary True Roller timing set and Hex-A-Just adjustable cam timing technology. Quality is of the highest priority for the company. For this reason each Cloyes product goes through a number of advanced testing procedures and inspections before it reaches the customer.
