Volkswagen Beetle Trailer Hitches

    About Volkswagen Beetle Trailer Hitches

The Volkswagen Beetle is an economy car that has had a lot of impact in many people’s lives all over the world. It is a family car that has been made in different shapes and styles. You can get a coupe, a three door and even a four door Beetle. When travelling, you can use any of the Volkswagen Beetle trailer hitches to help you carry along some extra weight. The smallest of the Beetles is 1.4 L while the strongest is 2.0 L. This means that whichever Beetle trim you own, you can tow a range of loads, provided they are within its maximum load capacity. There are basically two types of Volkswagen Beetle trailer hitches that you can use and which have been designed to accord your car a safe drive. There are receiver hitches which are open ended and which are meant to receive the other end from the trailer. There are also knob/ball trailer hitches which are meant to hook to one end of the trailer. You can choose many of the categories under each of these hitches from the shop.

Because the VW Beetle is a rather smallish car that is associated with the small affairs or even the fun activities that one can indulge in, the class of hitches that you can attach will basically fall under Class I and II. These classes of trailer hitches allow the car to tow light weights. CARiD has a full range of hitches that you can use to attach to the rear of your car. Upon visiting the shop online, you will have an opportunity to choose from the wide variety and also have a chance to be advised by the very experienced experts on the hitches and many accessories that will accentuate their usability.

Here at CARiD we have a loyal set of customers, and they are very involved with their cars. That means using them in many ways, or racing them or towing them to car shows on trailers. They know towing, is what we’re saying. And 13 of them left a number of reviews with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. We know you’ll feel the same way after towing your toys around, whether it’s a race car, a trailer full of quads or motorcycles or personal watercraft or full-on camper. CARiD has the parts you need to support your hobby!

When you’re setting up your trailer with a new tow vehicle, several things need to be considered: the ball mount and ball must be rated to take the weight, and the ball has to be at the right height. Once you have determined the proper weight class, choose a ball mount of a high enough class for your trailer, and set up your ball mount and ball for proper towing. Here's how you do that.

"Easy to install. Took about 1hr. VW did it right providing the welded nuts to the frame and a guide as to where to cut for the hitch."

"Hitch is easy to install after the bumper cover is removed. The information should tell the buyer that they there is a possibility of needing a new towing computer model for the car too."

"Curt Rear Trailer Hitch. This was very challenging to install by myself as I am 78 years old, however, the instructions and video plus other visual aids made installation a sort of easy for me (and I am not that mechanically inclined). If I had another person to assist me, it would have been easier, but, the final results were well worth it. The wiring was actually easier than I thought and I am So Satisfied. I will purchase more products. "

"Adjustments are quick, just requiring the pulling of the cotter pins and their cross bolts, sliding the adjustable mount up or down, then re-attaching the bolts and pins. For the price, this mount can't be beat!"
